Sweet Talk with the Sweet Sixteens: An Introduction!

Happy New Year and welcome to Sweet Talk with the Sweet Sixteens!

*sets off confetti cannons*

Every week for the year of 2016, I'm going to be featuring the Sweet 16s and their books! Make sure you follow them on Twitter and their blog for updates. A huge thanks in advance to all of the authors participating! And to Kathy MacMillan - this would not have become a thing without you!

So, what will Sweet Talk consist of?

Every Tuesday, I'm going to showcase the author(s) and book(s) that are publishing during that week, that are a part of the Sweet 16s group. There may be one author or ten. The participating authors will answer three questions:

1. Describe your debut novel in sixteen words.
2. Pitch your book! For fans of _____, _____ meets _____, etc.
3. What are you working on now – is it related to your debut novel?

There will be a big giveaway for that month! It will be prizes contributed by all of the participating authors from that month. Each week the same Rafflecopter will be included in that week's post, but there will be opportunities to earn extra entries if you visit each week's post. I'll choose one winner to win EVERYTHING for that month, at the end of the month! And then we start over with the new month. Unfortunately, each month's giveaway will be USA only! This is only fair to the authors, since there are many contributors to the big monthly prize.

Hopefully this makes sense! I'll be updating this introduction post with every week's link, in case anyone wants to look at them all.

MASSIVE THANK YOU to Charlene (Bookish Whimsy) for designing the banner and button for Sweet Talk! Please go follow her or say hello - she is amazing and so sweet!

  1. Oh! I love Debut Features! Its great to see so many bloggers taking on the task of featuring new authors. I know last year it seemed like very few were doing so and now there are so many! I am excited to see who you have lined up. Its also a great way to learn about new books, I know sometimes I get wrapped up in older authors and forget the newbies (Which is a goal to break this year!) Great idea Alyssa, I am going to try to keep up each week <3

    1. This idea was a brain-child of mine and Kathy's! I was trying to think of ways I could feature the Sweet Sixteens but also incorporate it into my blog schedule... I just kicked Tuesday out as a review day, so this fit perfectly. :D

Also, this an award and tag free blog. While I am flattered that you would think of me, I really do not have the time to follow up. Thank you!
