1. Cas Leung trains sea monsters to fight pirates—until the day the pirates turn the tables.
2. If you loved the monsters of Scott Westerfeld's Leviathan trilogy and the futuristic seas of Paolo Bacigalupi's Ship Breaker, you'll love THE ABYSS SURROUNDS US. It's Pacific Rim meets How To Train Your Dragon, with a dash of Pirates of the Caribbean thrown in.
3. I'm working on the sequel to TASU, along with a standalone spacebound sci-fi!
Nicole Castroman, Author of Blackhearts
1. BLACKHEARTS is a Blackbeard origin story. It's what I call PRE-PIRATE
(Unfortunately not sixteen words, but you get the idea.)

ReplyDeleteTwo pirate books, shiver me timbers! I live in an area that celebrates piracy (seriously, look up Gasparilla) although my love of all things pirate started long before I moved to the Tampa Bay area.

Of the two pirates I think The Abyss Surrounds Us, I liked all the creatures from the Leviathon series. I'm also looking forward to Vicious Masks.
