Blog Tour: Riders by Veronica Rossi

Hi, lovely people! Welcome to the blog tour for Riders by Veronica Rossi. This amazing novel published yesterday, and I highly encourage you all to get a copy. Today Veronica is introducing one of my favorite characters, Sebastian! Also known as Famine.

Meet Sebastian Luna, aka Famine, of RIDERS

One of the things that drew me to write RIDERS was the opportunity to work with the four horsemen – Conquest, War, Famine, Death – as metaphors.

I loved writing them all, but few characters have endeared themselves to me as much as Famine, aka Sebastian. He’s the heart of the group and the entertainer. Sebastian, or “Bas” as he goes by, is naturally optimistic and always ready with a great story. He’s also the talent in the bunch. Bas plays the guitar and sings, but his main focus is acting. Impersonations? He nails them. Perfect delivery on jokes? Always. With his dark good-looks, he also happens to be the team’s heart-throb.

One of the things I love best about Bas is the way he bungles idioms. A phrase like, “I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes” would become in Bastian-speak, “I don’t want to step on anyone’s fingers.” Kind of changes the whole thing, doesn’t it?

I can’t wait for you to meet Sebastian in RIDERS!

About the Book:

Riders by Veronica Rossi
Book One of the Riders series
Publisher: Tor Teen
Publication Date: February 16, 2016

Summary (from Goodreads):

For eighteen-year-old Gideon Blake, nothing but death can keep him from achieving his goal of becoming a U.S. Army Ranger. As it turns out, it does.

Recovering from the accident that most definitely killed him, Gideon finds himself with strange new powers and a bizarre cuff he can't remove. His death has brought to life his real destiny. He has become War, one of the legendary four horsemen of the apocalypse.

Over the coming weeks, he and the other horsemen--Conquest, Famine, and Death--are brought together by a beautiful but frustratingly secretive girl to help save humanity from an ancient evil on the emergence.

They fail.

Now--bound, bloodied, and drugged--Gideon is interrogated by the authorities about his role in a battle that has become an international incident. If he stands any chance of saving his friends and the girl he's fallen for--not to mention all of humankind--he needs to convince the skeptical government officials the world is in imminent danger.

But will anyone believe him?
