Are you ready to see the cover of the paperback (to be published on August 2nd)? Here it is!

The Accident Season by Moïra Fowley-Doyle
Publisher: Kathy Dawson Books
Paperback Publication Date: August 2, 2016

Summary (from Goodreads):

Every October Cara and her family become inexplicably and unavoidably accident-prone. Some years it's bad, like the season when her father died, and some years it's just a lot of cuts and scrapes. This accident season—when Cara, her ex-stepbrother, Sam, and her best friend, Bea, are 17—is going to be a bad one. But not for the reasons they think.

Cara is about to learn that not all the scars left by the accident season are physical: There's a long-hidden family secret underneath the bumps and bruises. This is the year Cara will finally fall desperately in love, when she'll start discovering the painful truth about the adults in her life, and when she'll uncover the dark origins of the accident season—whether she's ready or not.

  3. I love the hardback. I'm sure the paperback is showing her hugging herself but it looks more like rubbing to me and weird. The blurb is very intriguing and I'm going to check it out.

  8. I think the first cover captures the creepy factor better and would make me want to pick the book up more, but the paperback one isn't awful though. At least it's no Blood Passage's new cover! (Still bitter about that!)

  10. The paperback cover is amazing!! So much mystery in it. The hardcover though seems a bit too artificial and photoshop. The paperback is just very good photography. I'm going to read the book soon!
