Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews, in which bloggers share the books and swag they've received in the past week!
So, what did I get in the week of Sunday, June 7th to Saturday, June 13th?
(all links to Goodreads are provided!)
In the mail:
An "Above" necklace
Thank you, Sara! I won this back in October from Novel Novice. I'd forgotten that I had won! So it was a bit of a surprise package. You'll recall that I didn't like Atlantia.
Never heard of this one. Thanks, Simon and Schuster!
I LOVE THIS BOOK! I have the hardcover (signed, too!), but I really wanted the ARC. It's an old ARC, from 2011/2012! Thank you, Brittany!
Eeep! Thank you so much, Little, Brown! I thought I missed the mailing for Court of Fives, so I asked LB, and it worked out because they had Court of Fives AND Deceptive! AHHH!
A late approval (give that this book published on June 2nd), but an approval nonetheless! Thank you, Grand Central! I'm currently reading it and am intrigued!
This week started off really badly - I had terrible pain on Sunday night, which had me awake all that night... which led me to believe that I had appendicitis. Thankfully I DON'T have appendicitis - it was an infection, which seems to have cleared up. The week ended pretty well - especially in books!
Nice haul! I can't wait to read Court of Fives, it sounds awesome. Enjoy your new books!ReplyDelete
Michelle @ Michelle's Minions
I hope you love it, Michelle!Delete
Love the books you have here. Hope you enjoy The Marriage Contract...it does look good.ReplyDelete
Thank you! I am so far! :DDelete
Glad you feel better after that scare.ReplyDelete
I won The Marriage Contract at a blog tour so I'll be reading that one, too. Fun wins there especially since you forgot about them. Better than bills in that mailbox for sure.
Yes - thank you! And you did!? I hope you love it! Also you raise a great point, Sophia ;)Delete
Well, that's a nice surprise? I guess? Sad when you won a book you read and hated. I find myself curious about Court of Fives! Will definitely look forward to your review!! Hope you enjoy all the new reads! ;)ReplyDelete
My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I had won the book before I read it! But then I read it and I was like o.o Not for me. Thank you so much, Jessica!Delete
Awesome haul. Court of Fives is going to be a good book. I really haven't heard of the Marriage Contract. So I hope you love all your new books this week.ReplyDelete
Grace @ Books of Love
I hope so! Thank you, Grace.Delete
Great haul! I've been wanting to check out Atlantia for a while. It sounds excellent!ReplyDelete
Krystianna @ Downright Dystopian
You should! I didn't like it, but I was in the minority (which is often typical of me). LOLDelete
It's great that the scare was just that, and that the week ended much better and with cool books!!ReplyDelete
Agreed! I needed it. lolDelete
Ooh! I grabbed Court of Fives at BEA, but I'll likely be waiting on my library for Deceptive. Can't wait to see what you think of it!ReplyDelete
Aww, girl, I'm sorry about the infection! At least it wasn't appendicitis or anything like that. I'm glad it cleared up, and of course, YAY for some awesome books! I'm TOTALLY dying for Court of Fives- it sounds like my kind of book, you know?? So nice of LB to send it to you with Deception as well. <33ReplyDelete
Happy reading Alyssa! :D
Right?! I've never been more terrified in my life. IT WAS BAD D: But the week in books was good! I hope you love Court of Fives when you get the chance to read it! Hopefully some of the BEA attendees will give away their copies and you'll have a shot at winning one early!Delete
Thank you - and you too, Aneeqah!
Nice haul. The Dark Light looks interesting. Hope you enjoy all your new books, Alyssa.ReplyDelete
Interesting, and quite an excellent novel! Thank you, Marilyn!Delete
Aw, yaaaay for getting so many awesome books sweetie :D Yay for gorgeous looking ARCs. <3 I really hope you will love all of them sweetie :) And ack, I'm so sorry you were in pain :( pain sucks, ugh. But glad that you are feeling better now. <3 Happy reading sweet girl :)ReplyDelete
I hope so too! I'm enjoying The Marriage Contract - and reading Deceptive very soon!Delete
Thanks so much, Carina! I know you're no stranger to medical issues, unfortunately :/ I really appreciate the kind words!
Looks like an awesome set of books! Sorry to hear you were sick, but glad that you are on the mend! Hope you're back to 100% soon!ReplyDelete
Thank you so much, Grace!! <3Delete
Dark Light sounds good. Hope you have a great weekend and happy reading.ReplyDelete
It is excellent! Thanks, Brandi!Delete
I get a lot of unsolicited ARCs from Simon & Schuster, too. They even kept sending when I didn't blog for 4 years. They must be rich to waste good finished copies this way.ReplyDelete
Weird that you didn't get your prize for 9 months. Hope you can stop by my post. http://eviloverlordthoughts.com/weekly-wrap-up-613/
They probably are, given The Mortal Instruments franchise. And it was weird, but hey, I completely forgot about it! lolDelete
Glad you're feeling better! I wish I got more unsolicited ARCs. And if you don't want that Atlantia, you can send it my way. :-)ReplyDelete
Check out my Sunday Post
Thank you so much! And dude, I now have two ARCs, so I will hit you up on Twitter!Delete
Hi Alyssa, I'm glad you're feeling better! i did have appendicitis and its NOT fun. I did like Atlantia and I participated in the tour so I was the one mailing the prizes :) I'm looking forward to see what you think about Court of Fives.ReplyDelete
Have a great week :)
OH MY GOSH! Liza, I hope everything is okay now though! Did you have to have your appendix remove?! Yikes! And thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the book! I'll be reading it soon - if you already read it, I hope you enjoyed it! <3Delete
