Swoon Thursday (#26): Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas

Swoon Thursday is a hot meme hosted by the fabulous ladies at YA Bound!

- From the book you’re currently reading, or one you just finished, tell us what made you SWOON. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering

This week, my swoon is from Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas!

***Any time you see [redacted] is where I took out this gentleman's name. Mwahaha...***

So [redacted] brushed away her tears, lifted her chin, and kissed her.

The kiss obliterated her.

It was like coming home or being born or suddenly finding an entire half of herself that had been missing.

His lips were hot and soft against hers - still tentative, and after a moment, he pulled back far enough to look in her eyes. She trembled with the need to touch him everywhere at once, to feel him touching her everywhere at once. He would give up everything to go with her. She twined her arms around his neck, her mouth meeting his in a second kiss that knocked the world from under her.

She didn't know how long they stood on that roof, tangled up in each other, mouths and hands roving until she moaned and dragged him through the greenhouse, down the stairs, and into the carriage waiting outside.

Okay, while this scene sounds really romantic and swoony... this book was NOT. I didn't enjoy the romance in this book because Celaena is STUPID.

But whatever. Overall, minus the romance, the book was amazing :)

  1. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't even use my words right now. GRRR. I don't like hearing that Celaena is being stupid. It's easy: Chaol. The end.

Great pick dear, though now I am going to wallow because this book doesn't come out until next month.

  4. You Sneak! :D Removing the gentleman's name--now I'm dying to know who he is. Too bad about the romance, but I might still have to check it out, even if only to learn the gentleman's name. LOL.

  7. Great kissing scene!!! Too bad the romance in this book sucked! That must have been frustrating. I'm glad you enjoyed the rest of the book though. Based off of that kissing scene, you would think there would have been better romance. Thanks for sharing Alyssa.

    1. Lindy, it was very frustrating, but the thing is, the plot of this book is totally more important than the romance. So that makes it a tiny bit better ^_^

  9. Great Swoon! I haven't read these books yet though they do sound interesting. Sometimes the romance isn't a big part of the story which is fine by me especially if the book is really intense, story wise.
Thanks for dropping by my Swoon!

  11. Great swoon, and how evil are you for taking the man's name out. I have to learn to do that. I hate when the gal is stupid though. Makes me want to shake the book.

And if you know me as a reviewer at all, it takes heck of a lot for me to stop reading a book! But I did love your swoon! :) Thanks for stopping by my swoon.
