Waiting on Wednesday (#182): Windwitch by Susan Dennard

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week, I'm featuring:

Windwitch by Susan Dennard
Book Two of the Witchlands series
Publisher: Tor Teen
Publication Date: January 3, 2017

Summary (from Goodreads):

The follow-up to New York Times bestselling Truthwitch, next in a breathtaking YA fantasy series hailed by Alexandra Bracken as "a world you will want to inhabit forever."

On a continent ruled by three empires, some are born with a "witchery," a magical skill that sets them apart from others.

In this follow-up to New York Times bestselling Truthwitch, a shadow man haunts the Nubrevnan streets, leaving corpses in his wake—and then raising those corpses from the dead. Windwitch continues the tale of Merik—cunning privateer, prince, and windwitch.

One word - MERIK! I can't wait for this book. Since like, November 2015. I was part of the Water Clan, during Susan's promo!

  5. Truthwitcch is my favorite read of 2016 so far! I don't think that will change in the near future. Merick- I need more, Aeduan - I have to have more. What is the Bloodwitch going to do?

  9. Let me know how it goes, and I may give this sequel a shot. I just didn't like all the predictability in the first book. And that instalove was sickening. I hope you enjoy this!

  18. I started reading the first book, but I got too busy so I put it down. Unfortunately, it was a library copy that I'd put on hold, so I had to return it before I could finish it. I've heard good things, though.

I hope you enjoy Windwitch once you get your hands on it. :)
