  2. For the longest time Beast was my favorite, I had watched my VHS so much that it barely even played anymore. But as I grew older I discovered a new love for Ursula, and her poor unfortunate souls.

  3. I never really considered the Beast a villain for some reason, so I was surprised he was a part of this series. I guess I always liked Maleficent or Ursula. You never really knew what their stories were and why they were so angry!

  6. The Beast is my favorite, would love to read this one to see a retelling of his story. I agree with another comment'er that I also have not considered the Beast as a true villain maybe because gaston was so fun to hate.

  25. One particular retelling I love is The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale. In general, I also like "East of the Sun and West of the Moon" and "Beauty and the Beast" retellings.
