Top Ten Tuesday (17)

Happy Tuesday! Today I've decided to participate in Top Ten Tuesday, formerly hosted by Jamie at The Broke and the Bookish, now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.

Today's topic is:

Best Books I’ve Read In 2018 (So Far)

Here are my Young Adult favorites:

And my Adult Romance favorites:

To be fair, I've read a fraction of the amount of books I would have read by now, in a past year... I don't know what's wrong with me. Maybe I'm finally discovering life outside of reading (GASP). I miss falling in love with a book though. Recommend me something good?

  1. Hi Alyssa! It's been so long! I got so far behind on blogging (and life, especially hobbies!) that I was just really scrambling to visit blogs to comment back. I'm ALMOST back on top of things though... So here's hoping that I manage to finally catch up properly and can visit all the beautiful blogs I've been missing.

I'm glad you loved Sky in the Deep. I haven't read any of the others on your list yet! I need to catch up on some reading.

Hope work and life in general is going well for you.

I recently read Sea Witch and really enjoyed it. Have you read that one yet?

  2. Ooh nice picks! Lots of new to me ones, though I'm familiar with some! It's hard sometimes to recommend a book. So far I am seeing a lot of dislike for one of my top ten reads! Other times I am just sooo behind with my releases and what not I'll say this was a favorite for the year and everyone has already it when it released! Whelp!

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower :)

  3. Now you really have me excited for Adam Meade. It MUST be good, if it made your favorites list.

  6. I was trying to think back to my life right after college when I first got my job and was juggling a lot of new to me responsibilities. I know I had little time for reading. I'd read a chapter or two before bed and pass out sometimes with the book still in my hands and the lamp on. I think it stayed that way for a few years. I just read when I could and got used to finishing less books. I was in my late thirties when the time finally freed up to start reading large amounts again. I'm not saying that's true of everyone, but I know its true of most folks working full-time with families.
All that to say, you're doing all right. Its not necessarily a slump or a sudden distaste for reading; it's just life. :)

  11. Oooh Suitors and Sabotage and A Thousand Beginnings and Endings are both on my TBR, so I'm glad to hear that you loved them.

The latest books I've fallen in love with are The Kiss Quotient (MAJOR swoon town alert), Barbed Wire Heart (gritty thriller, surprisingly feminist), and Trail of Lightning (badass Native American urban fantasy/post-climate apocalypse). I hope you love them if you get the chance to pick them up, Alyssa!

Also, this an award and tag free blog. While I am flattered that you would think of me, I really do not have the time to follow up. Thank you!
