Welcome to the August New Release Giveaway Hop! The August New Release Giveaway hop is sponsored by Book Twirps and Refracted Light Reviews.
This is it, you all. The last month before I am officially a college freshman. I'm excited! And slightly terrified! But mostly excited.
Anyway, I thought I'd make this giveaway special (i.e., slightly bigger) than I usually do. I might not participate in the hops for the rest of the year (we'll see), so I figured it would make sense to have a big August giveaway.
Also, college. That's a good reason to celebrate. And August is a HUGE month for releases!
SO. You may choose any ONE of these, in KINDLE or NOOK format:

I have a kindle, and I used to have a nook but it was horrible! I had to buy THREE replacement charging cables and There's a huge black spot on the screen--dead pixels. Kindle is so much better, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I would want Origin by Jennifer Armentrout. Thanks!
I would choose If I Stay. I loved the first in that series.
ReplyDeleteI have a Nook which I have loved. However, I had a *really* bad experience with Nook support yesterday that I'm really regretting it.
How do you like your Kindle?
I meant If You Leave (If You Stay was the first) Oops!
DeleteHmmm
ReplyDeleteEither Off Course or Out of Play(:
I got a Kindle...my friend Anna has a Nook but I think Kindle is better xD
Jackie
I'd choose Origin! I use kindle and I'm happy with it ;)
ReplyDelete~Karina V
I'd choose Origin. I don't own a Kindle or Nook. I just use the Kindle apps on my phone and Mac. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'd love Origin! :) I have a Kindle (it's only the basic Touch one) and I really love it. It holds all my books and does what I need it too. For sunlight reading and the like, I've heard amazing things about the Paperwhite though! Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteOrigin! Mmmm I can not wait for that! The last book was such a cliff hanger!
ReplyDeleteI have a kindle fire and love it. All I do is read on it so I cant comment about other apps
I would pick Crown of Midnight, most likely.
ReplyDeleteWe have both a Kindle Fire and a Nook Color, and I much prefer the Kindle.
Crown of Midnight for sure! I use a Kindle.
ReplyDeleteHover or Crown of Midnight. I mostly use my Kindle.....but then my husband threw away my charging cord :/ so until I finally buy a new one, I read on my Nook HD or my phone
ReplyDeleteHey, excellent name :)
I would choose Origin and I use a Kindle.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway opportunity.
A Tale of Two Centuries! And I use a Kindle. :) I love it! It's my second Kindle! :)
ReplyDeleteLiza @ Book Crook Liza
Probably either Crown of Midnight or Origin :)
ReplyDeleteKindle!
I would chose Out of Play. I read on my iPad via the Kindle app. I have read on a kindle and kindle fire too. Never have owned a Nook.
ReplyDeleteHi! I would like to read Hover by Melissa Wset, it sounds really good. If I win I will have to buy book 1,they both sound like my kinda reads and also i have a Kindle <3
ReplyDeleteI would choose If You Leave.
ReplyDeleteI use a Nook HD and I LOVE it. I wouldn't use anything else now.
I'd chose If You Leave, I read on my Android phone via Kindle App. Never try Nook though.
ReplyDeleteA Tale of Two Centuries! I have a paperwhite Kindle and LOVE it
ReplyDeleteI would love to read "Here Without You by Tammara Webber " I read on my Kindle, and don't want to change, I really like to read paper back books also.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to read Origin. I have a Kindle Paperwhite and absolutely love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the amazing giveaway!
elizabeth @ bookattict . com
I have a kindle fire, which I love. I'd probably pick Crown Of Midnight so I will actually read the series or Into The Deep, I read the previous two.
ReplyDeleteOut of Play or Into the Deep. I read on the kindle app for iPad.
ReplyDeleteI'd love hoover the taking 2 and I have a kindle fire.
ReplyDeleteerma2167@att.net
I would pick Crown of Midnight. I have a kindle and hope to soon get a Kindle Fire. I find it super easy to read on and I love Kindles more than other ereaders. :D
ReplyDeleteI would choose Hover, or Origin, or A Tale of Two Centuries! I'm participating in this hop too! You should enter :) I have a Nook HD, and a Kindle HD. I like my Nook HD better because it's lighter, thinner, you can create shelves, if I have a problem I can go to any B&N and they take care of it, I like the way the lending works better, etc. However, I do love my Kindle HD, and it's easy to email mobi copies to it, plus NetGalley, and Edelweiss are easier to transfer books from, to the nook :) If you get a Nook let me know so we can be Nook friends, and we can share books. Here's the link to my stop on the hop:

Lindy@ A Bookish Escape
I think I would get Here Without You. I don't have the others in the series yet, but I want to get them all. Also, I have a kindle and a kindle fire.
ReplyDeleteSandy @ Somewhere Only We Know
I read on a Kindle and I love it!
ReplyDeleteI would choose Hover. And I have a Nook Simple Touch with backlight and LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteI'd choose Orgin. I have a Nook but only the basic version. If you're looking to buy a Nook, definitely spend the extra $$ for the nicer version.
ReplyDeleteI would choose Origin.
ReplyDeleteI have both the Nook and Kindle, I use my Kindle now though because I got the Nook when it first came out and it's messed up, the pages that are supposed to be on the side of the book have moved over and it covers up the letters.
I would choose If You Leave. I have a Kindle which I love.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck in college!
I think I would choose Origin.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I forgot to say that I have a Kindle because I'm a big Amazon fan.
DeleteI'd love to get Origin by JLA
ReplyDeleteI have a Kindle and I love it.
I would choose Relic by Renee Collins I have a Paper White Kindle and a Kindle Fire HD and I love them both thanks for this amwesome giveaway!

ReplyDeleteCrown of Midnight for Kindle. Thank you so much for the chance to win!;)
ReplyDeleteHover by Melissa West for Nook. I have a Kindle Fire but I don't like it to read on. I use to use to get on the web, but I have an iPad so I don't full with it.
ReplyDeleteI'd choose Relic for my Kindle!
ReplyDelete-Jen Haile
Crown of Midnight! I have a Kobo and Kindle for my reviews and my mom has a Nook. Her Nook has TONS of extras that my paperwhite Kindle doesn't. On the con side though, Kindle books are free more often than Nook books. And Amazon is totally Kindle-oriented.
ReplyDeleteI would pick Origin by JLA!!
ReplyDeleteI have a Kindle (just the basic one...not even a touch screen) that I use occasionally. I mostly use my iPad. I have both the kindle app and the nook app on it so I use both platforms. I do like the e-ink appearance on my kindle when my head/eyes start hurting from the screen on my iPad. But then, I like having the screen on my iPad for when I'm reading at night and don't feel like messing with a book light.
Origin! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI have a kindle, Amazon is just so easy to use.
I would choose either Hover or Origin for the giveaway. I have a kindle fire but I am thinking about getting an ipad since with one of those I can read mobi/epub/pdf all at the same time. Won't have to worry about getting the right format :)
ReplyDeleteI think I'd choose The Darkest Part or Into the Deep! I have both but use my Kindle Fire because it is so much better than my older Nook.
ReplyDeleteI think I would choose Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I have a Nook Touch, and also a Kindle app on my iPod .
ReplyDeleteI would choose *If You Leave*. I'd choose it as Kindle format, since that is easy to convert, and I have problems with B&N's site.
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question, I must tell you that I don't use either of those. Neither of my eReaders is a Kindle or a Nook. I use a Pandigital Novel 6" and a Sony Pocket Reader (PRS-300). I love both of mine.
I'm a Kindle girl who would love to win Origin by Jennifer Armentrout. :)
ReplyDeleteORIGIN!
ReplyDeleteI'd most likely pick Into The Deep by Samantha Young but I'm not sure yet. Thanks for the great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI don't own either device but I have a Kindle app and I use Adobe Digital Editions for ePubs...
I would most likely get Origin by Jennifer Armentrout. This series is high on my to-read list, but I can't find it at the library so this would be the perfect opportunity to buy the other books in the series for me. I have a kindle, which is nice because I also have a cloud on both my computer and my phone so I don't have to carry around the physical e-reader. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteHi :) I think I would choose If You Leave :)
ReplyDeleteI have a Nook. And I love, but I haven't played around with the Kindle, so I might be a little bias.
Thanks for the giveaway. :)
Oh, gosh, I have no idea. Those are my favorite authors. Um, I think I'd choose Origin because I'm completely dying waiting for that.
ReplyDeleteI have a Kindle. I don't know if a Nook's better, I've never had one before.
I would choose If you Leave! Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI would choose Crown of Midnight or Origin and I use the kindle app on my iPad
ReplyDeleteI'd pick Origin. I have a Kindle, and I love it.
ReplyDeleteI would choose Origin, definitely!! Daemon Black...*la swoon* I own a kindle and LOVE it!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting the giveaway:)
Origins is pretty high on my to-read-list, and I read on Kindle, I don't have an e-reader but I do have the kindle app, which I barely use.
ReplyDeleteI don't actually have either, I just use the Kindle app on my iPod. I need to get an actual ereader eventually, though. If you try Nook, I'll just stalk you to see which you prefer :)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'd love Relic!
A TALE OF TWO CENTURIES by Rachel Harris.
ReplyDeleteI have a Kindle Fire, and I also have the Kindle App on my computer and on my cell phone. (I also still like reading an actual book too)
Good luck as you go off to college. I remember my college days as something wonderful and exciting and fun -- but plenty of studying too!
crown of midnight and I use the kindle mainly but my dd has a nook that I use sometimes also
ReplyDeleteEither Crown of Midnight or A Tale of Two Centuries. And I use a Kindle Paperwhite and I love it. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI would choose A Tale of Two Cities for my Kindle Touch. I love my Kindle, and I don't think I'll be switching anytime soon.
ReplyDeleteGood luck in college! I have some friends leaving for college soon, and I'll be going next year.
Origin :) I use a Kindle app
ReplyDeleteI use a nook and love it, and I would probably choose Crown of Midnight, thanks!

ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
Ooooohh, I'm so excited for you!! I remember that month before school, all the getting ready and shopping with my parents (ie, their wallets ;)) and all the crazy excitement!! I'm so happy for you :)
ReplyDeleteOkay, as to your question - I think I'd choose either Hover or Relic (I have Crown of Midnight on order, *have* to have hardback of that one!). I REALLY REALLY want Relic, but I say I "might" choose it because I might also decide I have to have the hard copy of that too, just because I ADORE that cover ;)
I have a Kindle and I absolutely love it! I had the second generation old-school one that I bought from my co-worker maybe 4 years ago (?), then I got a new Kindle Keyboard (current gen) with some Christmas money and gave another co-worker the old one; THEN I got a Kindle Fire HD 8.9 (eep!!) with some "free" gift cards to Amazon I got as credit card rewards and I. Love. It. I still have the Keyboard, but find that I almost exclusively use the Fire so might give my Keyboard to my mom. I'd give it to my husband if I thought he'd use it, but ... he doesn't see the need for 300 books at your fingertips anytime you want them. What?!?! I know what you're thinking... and yes, I do sometimes question my decision to marry him... ;-)
Can't wait to hear all about college!!!
Whoa...that ended up being a ridiculously long comment... sorry, haha!
DeleteKeeping Her by Cora Carmack . I already have Origin pre-ordered ;)
ReplyDeleteI have a kindle and love it, as well as the phone apps, so handy for sneaking in a few quick reads
-Tia

ReplyDeleteI would pick Keeping Her by Cora Carmack. I have a 3rd gen Kindle and I love it :) It's like my baby
ReplyDelete~ Yvonne
Hover... I have a kindle but want to upgrade to fire or a nook.
ReplyDeleteI think I would choose Origin...or A Tale of Two Centuries. I had the original Kindle keyboard, but it recently quit working. I have a regular Kindle WiFi and a Kindle Fire HD 8.9". I really love Kindle. But I think I want a Nook too, just because.
ReplyDeleteCrown of Embers. I use a kindle. Thanks.

ReplyDeleteI have a kindle fire. I would pick Origin.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
Origin! I have 2 Kindles. I love that there are so many options on Amazon, including more Indy published books.
ReplyDeleteI have had my eye on Relic and would love to read it. I have a Kindle and love it. I find it is much easier to find more reasonably priced and free books with amazon than B&N. Just my personal preference choice after looking at both options :) Good thoughts of joy and success with your freshman year, I wish you all the best.
ReplyDeleteCrown of Midnight, I have a Nook HD! :)
ReplyDeleteI would choose Off Course! :) I have a Kindle, and I LOVE it. I'll probably never get a Nook, but I definitely love having an ereader. :)
ReplyDeleteI think I would pick Relic. I have a Kindle Fire and I still have my 1st Generation Kindle (well, my husband uses it). I have not used the Nook, but I am very content with my Kindle!
