Top Ten Tuesday (25)

Happy Tuesday! Today I've decided to participate in Top Ten Tuesday, formerly hosted by Jamie at The Broke and the Bookish, now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.

Today's topic is:

Books By My Favorite Authors That I Still Haven’t Read

This list was a bit difficult to put together! BUT at the same time, it's clear to me that I am terrible at finishing series. Sometimes, you just don't want them to be over. Anyone else have this problem?

  1. I am also horrible at finishing series!! I can never remember what happened in the previous ones when there's been a long wait in between. I haven't continued Rebel of the Sands, and I only got through half of Crooked Kingdom. D:

  2. LOL, I have the same trouble finishing off series, too. I think I don't like the idea of them being over.

  3. I struggle to make time for my series all the time it seems! I still need to read Starfall and Smoke in the Sun. I'm close to The Traitor Prince! I'm reading The Wish Granter now and even have the next one after Traitor Prince to read/review!

Crooked Kingdom was one I made time for as I waited to read Six of Crows until I had that one in my hands! Lol. Definitely worked out better that way! Really enjoyed Hero at the Fall as well! I liked Noah Shaw too, but it had been ages since I read Mara Dyer so I felt like I was missing things by not remembering them!

Hope you get around to reading all these lovely picks sometime in the near future!

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  4. I am a fan of the Ruined series. I have to get to the final book, but have been really pleased with it overall. I am staying away from Jane. I bad reviews are just too bad for me to give it a try. CK broke my heart, but it was a great book.

  5. Crooked Kingdom did not let me down. However, Jane, Unlimited was a bit of a disappointment.

  7. LOL :) I still need to read Smoke In The Sun too! I might wait closer to the release date of the 4th book in the An Ember In The Ashes series, before I start reading A Reaper At The Gates though.

I also just finished Tower of Dawn earlier in August, which I had put off for a long time. Oddly enough, I just posted on my Instagram about book series that I have not finished yet- https://www.instagram.com/p/BnwPZ7OFYEr/?taken-by=lrosem_

  8. I still have to read Crooked Kingdom even though I said I would read it right after Six of Crows and that was back in 2016... lol

  9. I just listened to A Reaper at the Gates as an audiobook and it DESTROYED my feels, and I can promise that Crooked Kingdom will do the same. They are so great but also so painful. I still need to read The Defiant as well as Smoke in the Sun.

    Thanks for sharing,

  11. I too have a hard time finishing a series not only because the time lapse between books is so darn long that I have to reread the book or reread reviews of the books or the last book is just not good! Too many times I read the last in the series and it's nothing like the excitement I had for the first book. Examples of this was Reaper at the Gates and Hero At The Fall. Both way too long and boring. I so loved their first books. BUT I feel I have to finish the book so that I can say I finished the series and put it behind me. LOL!

I loved Smoke in the Sun, Allied and Crooked Kingdom! The Traitor Prince is pretty much a stand-alone. Did not enjoy Jane Unlimited. I loved the Frostblood and Caraval series. I do miss your reviews on future books that you give a 4 star rating to the first books. I like to know your thoughts on a book before I read it but I guess you are very busy with work and life as a career woman!
