Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews, in which bloggers share the books and swag they've received in the past week!
So, what did I get in the week of Sunday, June 12th to Saturday, June 18th?
(all links to Goodreads are provided!)
In the mail:
June Uppercase Box, including a signed copy of My Lady Jane!
Signed by all three authors! And check out that tote bag! I love this month's goodies. =)
Oooo! Thank you so much, Berkley!
Unsolicited - thank you, Tor!
From NetGalley:
YAY! Thank you, GCP!
From Edelweiss:
I love Durst's books. Thank you, Harper!
From B-Fest (last weekend):
B-Fest swag - lots of great goodies!
Boring week, in terms of life! I'd rather boring than awful though. =) How's it going on your end, reader? Have a lovely weekend!
SO MANY GOODIES!!!! And signed?!! So lucky! And wow that B-Fest haul is amazing😍😍
ReplyDeleteI just read my first Historical Fiction in years (and it's actually my second Hist Fic ever) and I fell in love so I am now looking forward to your recs of this genre and Nick's too but she makes me go broke haha
Have a good weekend and week, Alyssa!
Genesis Latte Nights Reviews
Well, the Uppercase box is something you have to pay for... this month's book was extra special because all three authors signed the book!
DeleteI hope you love your future HR reads! Thank you, Genesis. =)
I really must start the Rachel Caine series mostly because those covers are so pretty! Wohoo for a new Elizabeth Hoyt! She seems to be a writing machine, which is great for you and her fans! :)
ReplyDeleteI got Queen of Blood too and I'm looking forward to reading it. It will be my first book by the author, so fingers crossed I love it.
Have a wonderful week and boring is definitely better than awful! ;)
The covers ARE really pretty! But I'm rather partial to the spines. :D
DeleteI hope you enjoy The Queen of Blood!
My Lady Jane ..... OHHHH I WANT IT!!!!! Great Haul.... Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteAparajita @Le' Grande Codex
It was fantastic!
DeleteDefo want My Lady Jane and the book swag looks excellent. I might need to put more effort into getting free stuff from websites and publishers again!
ReplyDeleteLiterally no websites and publishers involved in the BFest swag gains... I walked into my local B&N and took one of each. So.
DeleteCool box goodies!
ReplyDeleteSome of your publisher ones look good.
Wow, look at that haul of stuff from your weekend.
And agreed, boring is much better than awful. :)
Thank you, Sophia!
DeleteOOoh very nice!!! Looks like you had a great week! Hope you enjoy all the reads and swag!
ReplyDeleteMy STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
A great week in books/bookish goodies, I'd agree! Thanks, Jessica. ^_^
DeleteCan't wait to see your thoughts on The Queen of Blood! I've enjoyed a couple of Durst's books. You definitely raided the swag table at B-Fest! I think I recognize everything except the Carve the Mark sneak peek, which my B&N strangely did not have. Weird.
ReplyDeleteI hope next week is a little more exciting for you, although you're right; boring is definitely better than awful. :)
Thank you! And not quite raided - I just took one of each. When I first got there, I was the first and only one there, and the B&N employee was like PLEASE TAKE THINGS. lol!
DeleteWell, my B&N didn't have that coloring book! RUDE. :D
When I got there, the swag table wasn't manned at all. I ran into some people at my undergrad alma mater, so we stole the chairs and encouraged people to take stuff until the author panel started. I wonder if they ran into shipping or stocking problems so some stores missed certain things.
DeleteThat's neat that the B&N had an author panel! Nothing of the sort at my local one - which doesn't surprise me. Meh!
DeleteI definitely think some stores didn't have as many goods! Like, that Griffin Teen tote never made an appearance at my B&N. Ah well!
Awesome haul. I got Lady Jane too this week. You got some great books. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on Queen of Blood.
ReplyDeleteGrace @ Books of Love
Thank you, Grace!
DeleteI love the cover of both Wolf's Empire and The Queen of Blood. I'll have to go check those out. Great haul- With Malice has had me curious too. :)
ReplyDeleteThe covers are pretty great!
DeleteDid everyone get My Lady Jane this week??? lol
ReplyDeleteGreat haul!
My Stacking the Shelves
Ha! It's a popular one!
DeleteAmazing haul!! I'm so jealous! :D And yes, boring is a lot better than awful. Mine has been pretty boring as well. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! And I'm sorry for the boring week, but glad it wasn't terrible! :D
DeleteHave you read My Lady Jane yet? It's very good! I honestly went into it not thinking much of it, but as long as you don't mind manipulated history, you'll really enjoy it. It's like a YA version of The Princess Bride and so funny. I was cracking up so much through the book. I hope you enjoy all your new lovelies!
ReplyDeletelol, you don't need to pitch it to me. I've read it.
DeleteThank you!
I've been really wanting to read Rachel Caine's new series. Is it called Ink and Bone or something like that??? It sounds really interesting and unique. I just wasn't a huge fan of her Morganville Vamps books.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your lovely haul!
Rachelle @ Shell's Stories
YES! Ink and Bone! Paper and Fire is the sequel to Ink and Bone (which was my first Caine read).
DeleteThank you, Rachelle!
That Uppercase box looks beautiful! I can’t wait to read MY LADY JANE... it sounds amazing. And THE QUEEN OF BLOOD sounds good–I really loved DRINK, SLAY, LOVE by her, so this one should be fantastic too. Great haul and happy reading!!
ReplyDeleteI liked My Lady Jane! And in terms of Durst - I HIGHLY recommend Vessel.
DeleteThank you!
It looks like you got some great books! Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteYou have a GREAT haul this week! Hope you enjoy them all. Here's my StS if you'd like to stop by my blog.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteOh you have some goodies here!! I just love Elizabeth Hoyt and she has done a great job with this series. Hope you enjoy your books here.
ReplyDeleteRIGHT!? One of my favorite HR series to date!
DeleteI just got My Lady Jane in a subscription box too! But I got Owlcrate! I love that tote bag! I wish I could have gone to B-Fest last weekend, but it was branding so I couldn't find the time to drive 2 hours to the nearest B&N. :( But all those goodies look awesome! Enjoy all of your awesome new books!
ReplyDeleteYaaaasss! Ooo, OwlCrate! My sister bought me this Uppercase box as a birthday gift - I wish I could subscribe to Uppercase or OwlCrate!
DeleteB-Fest was wonderful! Hopefully, if they do it again next year, you'll be able to attend.
Thank you, Cyra! <3
That Uppercase box is awesome! I've got to get ahold of My Lady Jane. You got some great books this week!
ReplyDeleteCheck out my Sunday Post
You totally should!
DeleteWonderful haul this week. I am planning on grabbing My Lady Jane soon for my Kindle if my library doesn't order a copy. That tote bag really is awesome. Hope you love all your great books and can't wait to see some of your reviews on them.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea! It's a fun (and funny!) read.
DeleteThank you, Barb! I've reviewed two of them already. ;)
What great looking books. I am envious of My Lady Jane and being signed by all three amazing authors! I hope you enjoy all of you book.
ReplyDeleteThank you! And yup, courtesy of Uppercase (monthly subscription box) and my sister (she bought June's box for me for my birthday)! ^_^
DeleteThat tote bag is the cutest thing ever! Love it!Also, Paper and FIre looks awesome and I seriously need to start that series!
ReplyDeleteI love it so much! I'm such a tote bag hoarder LOL. I loved Ink and Bone and Paper and Fire!
DeleteGreat B-fest haul! I love that tote bag. Enjoy! :D
ReplyDeleteThank you, Erin!
DeleteI MUST READ Sorcerer to the Crown! I own Ink and Bone but I haven't gotten around to it yet - need to do that too LOL! AWESOME haul my friend! Happy reading :)
ReplyDeleteI need to read Sorcerer to the Crown! It seems like my thing. Happy reading to you too, Micheline!
DeleteHow was B-Fest? My local B&N didn't advertise anything special so I didn't go. Enjoy your new reads :)
ReplyDeleteMy local B&N apparently had ONE author come in on that Saturday, but it was for self-help author, I think? Someone I'd never ever hear of. They advertised that Friday night's trivia well, but I couldn't make it. :/ I went on Saturday, chatted and hung out a little, got the freebies, and left.
DeleteThank you, Liza!
Yaaay for getting lots of mail last week :D You are awesome Alyssa. <3 Gah. I wish I could get those awesome bookish boxes :) But must are not open to Norway, and if they are, it's so so expensive. Ugh. One day, maybe :) Happy reading. <3
ReplyDeleteWhat!? Aww, I could see why they're expensive. How is Owlcrate's fare? I've seen a friend from France order the Owlcrate box. But you're right, it's probably some serious monies. :/ *hugs*
