ReplyDeleteI can never answer this! I will say that Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake and The Museum of Heartbreak by Meg Leder were two recent faves.

ReplyDeleteI loved Caraval by Stephanie Garber (so mindblowing) and also The Lovely Reckless by Kami Garcia. This last one reminded me a lot to Simone Elkeles' books and I have missed stories like the ones Simone wrote.

My favourite book of the year has been The Sacred Lies of Minnow Bly. It completely stole my heart! I've had an incredible reading year TBH though and just loved the majority of what I've read. I just finished Ruined which I also adored.

My favorite adult book so far was The Murder of Mary Russell by Laurie R. King, and my favorite YA books was Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin. I'm thinking that will be overtaken this week as I read A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas though!

ReplyDeleteStarflight by Melissa Landers! It was a thoroughly entertaining sci-fi with a wild and unpredictable adventure plot and cast of some of the most vivid characters I've ever read. Highly recommend if you haven't read it yet!
