Promo and Giveaway: Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton

Hi, lovely readers! Today I've got a fun post for you. I'm helping promote Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton, a book that I've recently read and loved. Find out what I think my blogger reputation is (I feel like I have a few?), and enter to win an AMAZING prize pack!

My review is HERE!

My blogger reputation:

I had to think about this. I feel like I could potentially be known for a lot of things, like

- getting mathy
- getting sciencey
- sharing swoonage every week
- being suuuuuper honest in reviews
- writing lengthy reviews
- reading a lot of books

In the end, I decided that The Eater of Books! blog is... *drum roll*

Revered for Reviewing Tons of Books!

Just scroll through my Review Archive, yeah? I currently have 629 reviews on my blog (that are tagged with "review" - I have review posts that review 2+ books). This is over a three-year span! I review 3-4 books a week. Typically I review everything I read, and I've read:

- 181 books in 2013
- 211 books in 2014
- 216 books in 2015
- 22 books in 2016 (so far)

(I'm not counting 2012.)

My reviewer ranking is #3,506 on Amazon (which is not bad!), and I have 735 reviews on Goodreads (some are pre-excitement reviews, some are reviews I wrote before creating my blog). My average rating on Goodreads (for 937 ratings) is 3.61! I do not rate books before reading them.

Do you all agree? Am I known for reading/reviewing a lot?

About the Book:

Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton
Book One of the Rebel of the Sands series
Publisher: Penguin
Publication Date: March 8, 2016

Summary (from Goodreads):

She’s more gunpowder than girl—and the fate of the desert lies in her hands.

Mortals rule the desert nation of Miraji, but mystical beasts still roam the wild and barren wastes, and rumor has it that somewhere, djinni still practice their magic. But there's nothing mystical or magical about Dustwalk, the dead-end town that Amani can't wait to escape from.

Destined to wind up "wed or dead," Amani’s counting on her sharpshooting skills to get her out of Dustwalk. When she meets Jin, a mysterious and devastatingly handsome foreigner, in a shooting contest, she figures he’s the perfect escape route. But in all her years spent dreaming of leaving home, she never imagined she'd gallop away on a mythical horse, fleeing the murderous Sultan's army, with a fugitive who's wanted for treason. And she'd never have predicted she'd fall in love with him...or that he'd help her unlock the powerful truth of who she really is.

The Giveaway:

5 winners will receive: hardcover of Rebel of the Sands, PenguinTeen tote bag, and a Shimmering Hourglass. USA only.

  1. This somehow seems reminiscent of The Arrivals by Melissa Marr.

Also, I don't think I could ever break a hundred books a year, so well done!

  3. I TOTALLY agree with the rep you chose... I think you review more books than any other blogger I follow, honestly! And they're not like 1-2 paragraph general reviews either, which I think makes it even more impressive :-)
