Stacking the Shelves (#196)

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews, in which bloggers share the books and swag they've received in the past week!

So, what did I get in the week of Sunday, September 18th to Saturday, September 24th?

(all links to Goodreads are provided!)

In the mail:

Unfortunately I won't be going home this weekend! My stack of mail is going to have to wait. My parents may come on Sunday to visit, which means that I'll share pictures on Twitter on Sunday night, and post everything in next week's haul.

It's bizarre how I always seem to get the most mail when I'm not going home that weekend!

From NetGalley:

We'll see how this goes... this series has not been Sarah's best (for me), but I am very invested in the conclusion!

From Edelweiss:

YAY finally! I am beyond excited to read this book. =)

I'll be attending the Baltimore Book Festival this weekend! I've already gone on Friday and it was a lovely experience (as usual) - especially since I got to meet Shanna, all the way from the UK! I'll be heading back to the Festival on Saturday afternoon, and possibly on Sunday. So much fun!

  1. Heart Stone looks wonderful!! What's that about (besides dragons)? I haven't read anything by Sarah Fine yet and wouldn't know where to start, actually.
    Have fun at the festival!

    1. It really does! It's another one of Harper Voyager's fantasy novels that is going to be amazing (let's hope). In terms of Sarah Fine, her Servants of Fate series (adult) was SO good. Her Guards of the Shadowlands series (YA) was her best YA series. I did like her duology with S&S. The Impostor Queen, meh, you could skip. Definitely skip this Reliquary series, in my opinion. ;)

      Thank you, Genesis!

  8. I felt hesitant about Sarah's series here, and after reading your review for book 1 I was really unsure of it. But isn't it odd how we still feel compelled to read a series even though we're not enjoying it to the fullest? I've done that plenty of times myself! Lol!

Ooh a book festival sounds fun!! Definitely don't get any of those around me. I am actually already feeling the withdraws kick in regarding the Boston Teen Author book fest that's also this weekend. I went last year and it was great! (Even though the traveling back to my hotel alone at night in an unfamiliar city about had me breaking out in hives!) And bummed to miss this year because I saw some of the author line up even though I told myself not to look. The same with YallFest that's later this year to! But it's always great when these things happen in your own home town!

Hope you have fun and enjoy the reads!

My STS will be up tomorrow, stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    1. This definitely isn't the best series of hers. I loved her Servants of Fate series though, in terms of her adult books. ;) Her YA books are great too.

I need to travel a little to make it to the D.C. events! I tell myself that I'll do so when I graduate in May. YallFest is on my list! But you're right, I feel very lucky that the Baltimore Book Festival is literally in my backyard. So great!

      Thank you, Jessica!
