Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews, in which bloggers share the books and swag they've received in the past week!
So, what did I get in the week of Sunday, September 18th to Saturday, September 24th?
(all links to Goodreads are provided!)
In the mail:
Unfortunately I won't be going home this weekend! My stack of mail is going to have to wait. My parents may come on Sunday to visit, which means that I'll share pictures on Twitter on Sunday night, and post everything in next week's haul.
It's bizarre how I always seem to get the most mail when I'm not going home that weekend!
From NetGalley:
We'll see how this goes... this series has not been Sarah's best (for me), but I am very invested in the conclusion!
From Edelweiss:
YAY finally! I am beyond excited to read this book. =)
I'll be attending the Baltimore Book Festival this weekend! I've already gone on Friday and it was a lovely experience (as usual) - especially since I got to meet Shanna, all the way from the UK! I'll be heading back to the Festival on Saturday afternoon, and possibly on Sunday. So much fun!
Heart Stone looks wonderful!! What's that about (besides dragons)? I haven't read anything by Sarah Fine yet and wouldn't know where to start, actually.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the festival!
Genesis @ Latte Nights Reviews
It really does! It's another one of Harper Voyager's fantasy novels that is going to be amazing (let's hope). In terms of Sarah Fine, her Servants of Fate series (adult) was SO good. Her Guards of the Shadowlands series (YA) was her best YA series. I did like her duology with S&S. The Impostor Queen, meh, you could skip. Definitely skip this Reliquary series, in my opinion. ;)
DeleteThank you, Genesis!
I also got Mosaic. Always when you are not home, you get the mail. I hope you love all of your new books.
ReplyDeleteGrace @ Books of Love
It never fails to be that way! I can't wait to open everything. Thank you, Grace!
DeleteHeart Stone looks amazing! I'm adding that one to my TBR. Happy reading, Alyssa!
ReplyDeleteHaraiah @ Random Things In Action
I hope it's good! Thank you, Haraiah. :D
DeleteOh neat! I'm glad you get to see you book blogger pal at the festival.
ReplyDeleteHeart & Stone is new to me, but the cover has me curious.
She's a writer, aspiring published author! And she is awesome. I'm so glad we got to meet!
DeleteOoh these books look good!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm glad you got to meet a book blogger friend - that's one of the best things about going to book festivals, etc.! :D
Geraldine @ Corralling Books
It really is one of the best things! We got dinner together and it was basically the highlight of the festival for me. ^_^
DeleteGetting lots of mail always happens when your not at home! Hope you enjoy your reads and I bet that festival is a lot of fun, enjoy!! :)
ReplyDeleteStormi
Seriously though! I'm dying to see everything. Thank you, Stormi!
DeleteSadly I'm working during the Baltimore Festival this weekend (bummer). Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteTsuki’s STS
Boooo! Hopefully we'll meet next year!
DeleteI felt hesitant about Sarah's series here, and after reading your review for book 1 I was really unsure of it. But isn't it odd how we still feel compelled to read a series even though we're not enjoying it to the fullest? I've done that plenty of times myself! Lol!
ReplyDeleteOoh a book festival sounds fun!! Definitely don't get any of those around me. I am actually already feeling the withdraws kick in regarding the Boston Teen Author book fest that's also this weekend. I went last year and it was great! (Even though the traveling back to my hotel alone at night in an unfamiliar city about had me breaking out in hives!) And bummed to miss this year because I saw some of the author line up even though I told myself not to look. The same with YallFest that's later this year to! But it's always great when these things happen in your own home town!
Hope you have fun and enjoy the reads!
My STS will be up tomorrow, stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
This definitely isn't the best series of hers. I loved her Servants of Fate series though, in terms of her adult books. ;) Her YA books are great too.
DeleteI need to travel a little to make it to the D.C. events! I tell myself that I'll do so when I graduate in May. YallFest is on my list! But you're right, I feel very lucky that the Baltimore Book Festival is literally in my backyard. So great!
Thank you, Jessica!
The cover for Heartstone is stunning! I need to check this book out! Will there be some authors at the festival that you are excited to meet? Have fun.
ReplyDeleteIt really is! And there were a ton of authors that I couldn't wait to see - most I've met before though. Thank you!
DeleteHeartstone's cover is so good! I can't wait to read this
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! I am excited to dig in.
DeleteAlso, Andria, do you have a blog? I can't find a link but I would love to leave some comments. Please link me if you do! And if you do not, then I *extra* appreciate all of your comments! You are awesome!
AH, the Baltimore Book Festival! I hope you're having an amazing time. :D Take lots of pictures for us!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kel! Luckily, I got all of the other bloggers and fangirls to take the pictures for me! I'll post a recap probably on Monday. :D
DeleteHeartstone looks fun! And a book festival- I love those. Have fun!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Greg!
DeleteHave a great time, Alyssa.
ReplyDeletesherry @ fundinmental My Sunday Memes
Thank you, Sherry!
DeleteHeartstone looks really intriguing! I don't think I've seen that before.
ReplyDeleteRight? I love the cover and synopsis! I want to read it right now. :D
DeleteI hope you'll do a recap of BBF so we can all live vicariously through you! I hope you're having a fabulous time!! :D Heartstone looks really great---I'm a sucker for dragon stories. I'll have to seek that one out! :D
ReplyDeleteI certainly will! I wanted to post it on Monday, but I think I'll do it on Friday. Hopefully you get the chance to read Heartstone!
DeleteGreat haul this week! I haven't heard of either of these books, so I'll have to do some goodreads digging to find out what they're all about!
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping you enjoy your recent bookish acquisitions! Happy reading to you, and thank you SO MUCH, again, for stopping by my STS this week! You're a doll! <3
I've linked to Goodreads under each photo! Thank you, Elizabeth. ^_^
DeleteHi, hope you had fun over the weekend at this festival. And your haul looks very impressive - I like all the covers. Happy reading and have a great new week :-)
ReplyDeletebest wishes
Vi @ Gone With The Books
Thank you, Vi! <3
DeleteHeart Stone needs to be on my TBR right now. Dragons? Yes! P&P? Yes! Fantasy? More please!!! I can't wait to see your review on this one. I hope it's a goodie!
ReplyDeleteYAY! I am happy to further inflate your TBR. ;) Thank you!
DeleteHeartstone sounds amazing! Pride & Prejudice and dragons? I am definitely adding it to my TBR!
ReplyDeleteLindsey
Ooo! I'm glad! Hopefully you enjoy it, Lindsey. ^_^
DeleteI still haven't started Sarah Fine's new series :( Yay! I requested Heartstone but it hasn't been approved or denied yet. I hope it's good :)
ReplyDeleteIt's not the greatest of her works, tbh! Her Servants of Fate series was much better. I am crossing my fingers for you and Hearstone!
DeleteOhh, hope you had the most awesome time at the festival thingy :D YAY! And yay for getting pretty ebooks. <3 Happy reading sweet girl :)
ReplyDeleteI did! And thank you, Carina!
