Waiting on Wednesday (#136): Thicker than Water by Brigid Kemmerer

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week, I'm featuring:

Thicker than Water by Brigid Kemmerer
Publisher: Kensington Books
Publication Date: December 1, 2015

Summary (from Goodreads):

On his own

Thomas Bellweather hasn’t been in town long. Just long enough for his newlywed mother to be murdered, and for his new stepdad’s cop colleagues to decide Thomas is the primary suspect.

Not that there’s any evidence. But before Thomas got to Garretts Mill there had just been one other murder in twenty years.

The only person who believes him is Charlotte Rooker, little sister to three cops and, with her soft hands and sweet curves, straight-up dangerous to Thomas. Her best friend was the other murder vic. And she’d like a couple answers.

Answers that could get them both killed, and reveal a truth Thomas would die to keep hidden…

I LOVE Brigid's books! This one is a completely new one, separate from the Elemental series, and I am excited!

  1. Yay! I'm really excited about this one as well. I love Brigid's book, maybe except for the last one and Hunter's story. But I'm still looking forward to this one. Plus, that cover! Love it!
    Great pick, Alyssa!

    1. Hmm, I understand what you're saying about Hunter's book. Spirit didn;t have the same zing like the rest! Especially Storm. Storm is my favorite.

      Anyway, thank you!

  3. I am excited about this one too. I am so hoping that Thomas is not the killer- or his stepdad.

  8. AHHH I did not know Brigid Kemmerer had a new book coming out! I absolutely adored the Elemental series (although I do need to pick up the last two!), so I think I'll thoroughly enjoy this one by her. I've always enjoyed a good murder mystery, and this one definitely seems intriguing. Hopefully we'll both love this one when it comes out!

Thanks so much for sharing Alyssa. :D
