Stacking the Shelves (#82)

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews, in which bloggers share the books and swag they've received in the past week!

So, what did I get in the week of Sunday, July 13th to Saturday, July 19th?

(all links to Goodreads are provided!)

In the mail:

Thank you for the trade, Stephanie! Now I have an ARC set of Pivot Point and Split Second! I know my good friend Pili will be happy ;D

Thank you, Random House! I featured this one as a WoW choice a little while back. I'm honored to have the chance to read it!

AHHH, SO EXCITED!! Fantasy fantasy fantasy! Thank you so much, Random House!

Thank you so much, Celeste! She is seriously the best. So many huggles.

From NetGalley:

Dang, I've been waiting for this request to be approved since April O_O But I haven't read the book yet, so I guess that works out!

I usually steer clear of New Adult contemporary romance novels these days, but it's Ann Aguirre. How could I stay away?!

Is it bad that while everyone is thinking of the Backstreet Boys song, I'm thinking of Justin Bieber? I hate Bieber, but I didn't grow up with the Backstreet Boys so...

Another great week! Especially in books ;D

  1. I'm tempted to request Ann Aguirre's NA books too. They look great! I have a bunch of other September ARCs to get to, though, and I've never had luck with Harlequin on Netgalley. I hope you enjoy your new books. :)

    1. Excellent! And I'm in the same boat - April already passed, and that's when I would have read/reviewed Take Me On. Oh well!

  7. OOOOOH. TELL ME HOW LARK RISING IS! On one hand it sounds awesome on the other it sounds sort of cheesy with the whole light dark thing >_>

  11. You always have awesome hauls, Alyssa. :) I have read the first book in Katie's series, but I haven't got around to the others yet. It's crazy that they are just now approving it when you requested it in April. I hope you enjoy everything you got.

    1. Awww, thanks! I feel like the weeks you've visited are abnormal compared to the other haul weeks :o I really enjoyed Pushing the Limits - it's definitely my favorite (of the three I've read). Thank you, Justin!

  12. It is so exciting when you get a WoW ARC, no? I was beyond excited when I got one, since I was "waiting on" it and all, and now I didn't have to ;) The Ann Aguirre books... I can't. I cannot get the 90s boy band songs out of my head! My friends were always SO obsessed with those songs/bands so (unfortunately) I will know all the words for the rest of my days ;) I do hope you enjoy them though, if they are good I can (potentially?) get past the BSB references! Have a great week, hope you love all the books :)

    1. I definitely agree! And LOL I'm sorry to hear that! I was born in the 90s, so I'm familiar with the songs, but they're not my jam haha. Thank you very much, Shannon!

  13. I will admit, I am a tad bit jealous that you got Invaded haha! I loved Split Second, but I am a bit sad that there isn't another book in that series :( I hope you enjoy all of your books! :D

Thank you for stopping by earlier today! :)

    1. You need them for sure, since you LOVE NA contemporary romance!! And aww, it sounds like a post-BEA and post-convention kind of slump, I hear other bloggers have the same problem after major conventions. You got this, Jess!

    1. I'm in the same boat, Cyn! I'll be binge-reading the series in the next two weeks. I'm glad you liked Alienated enough to want to read the next book! It's only a duology, so it's not like it's a long wait for the series to be over.

      Thank you!

  22. I got an approval of Take Me On from Netgalley pretty late. Maybe a couple of weeks ago, but I had given up hope. I'll have to get to it soon. I also got a copy of Like Water on Stone and the cover is prettier in person. Hope we both like it. Enjoy your books, Alyssa! :)
