Feature and Follow Friday (#8)

Alison Can Read Feature & Follow

The Feature & Follow is a creative meme that allows bloggers to get to know each other, and gain more followers! It is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.

If you would like, it would be great if you followed me via Email, GFC, or Linky (all on the right). Let me know in the comments if you did, leave a link to your blog, and I will comment and follow back! I always do, I promise! Thank you so much!

Q: Confess your blogger sins! Is there anything as a newbie blogger that you've done, that as you gained more experience you were like -- oops?
Hmm, well, I have only been blogging for two months, so I AM a newbie blogger! I really don't know what to say for this one. I wish I could have more followers, as a newbie blogger? But I think I'm doing pretty well. Right? Yes. I think so.
So, for you more experienced bloggers, drop me a line! I would love to hear what you have to say, because it would really help me out, as a new blogger. Thank you!

  1. Don't worry about followers! They will come! I feel like I don't have near as many followers as other bloggers and I'm 10 months old...I feel so old.

  4. I totally understand about followers! One thing, I have learned is let them come to you. Build that audience instead of forcing them. A lot of blogs with big numbers got them by giveaways, etc and there's not much interaction. As a new blogger myself I try to comment on other blogs. If someone visits my blog for the first time and they leave a link, then I happily go and see what their latest post is or if they follow, I'll follow back.

  9. In 2 months time nearly 400 GFC followers is really good, I think. I just hit 500 this week and have been blogging for 4 months. For me, it's been the blog hops and meme's that have significantly aided in followers. That, and commenting on others blogs too. I have found people in the book blogging world respond really well to personalized commenting versus generic copy and paste commenting.

  12. Uh, yeah, I'd say you're doing great! You know from visiting my blog that I'm only half as old as you :) so I can't offer any words of wisdom. And you seem to be doing just fine without needing advice! I should probably ask you for advice, Grandma. :)

Thanks for visiting and following. I'm following back.
