A Promise of Fire was everything! I can be really picking about fantasy romance (there's a certain type of OTT tone that I just roll my eyes at) but Amanda Bouchet hit it out of the park. I also read the first Maiden Lane book a couple weeks ago on your recommendation and I really liked it! I do see what you mean about the, er, "odd" parts though...haha. I'm excited to read the rest of the series soon.

Do You Want to Start a Scandal is, of course, on my TBR list! Just gotta wait (not so) patiently for my hold at the library to arrive. :)
