Waiting on Wednesday (#197): Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week, I'm featuring:

Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han
Book Three of the To All the Boys I've Loved Before series
Publisher: Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers
Publication Date: April 4, 2017

Summary (from Goodreads):

Lara Jean’s letter-writing days aren’t over in this surprise follow-up to the New York Times bestselling To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and P.S. I Still Love You.

Lara Jean is having the best senior year a girl could ever hope for. She is head over heels in love with her boyfriend, Peter; her dad’s finally getting remarried to their next door neighbor, Ms. Rothschild; and Margot’s coming home for the summer just in time for the wedding.

But change is looming on the horizon. And while Lara Jean is having fun and keeping busy helping plan her father’s wedding, she can’t ignore the big life decisions she has to make. Most pressingly, where she wants to go to college and what that means for her relationship with Peter. She watched her sister Margot go through these growing pains. Now Lara Jean’s the one who’ll be graduating high school and leaving for college and leaving her family—and possibly the boy she loves—behind.

When your heart and your head are saying two different things, which one should you listen to?

"Surprise follow-up" - yeah okay. I knew there had to be a book to follow P.S. I Still Love You! That ending was SO abrupt! I'm a little worried but definitely excited to see where the story goes (even if it looks like my heart will be broken). =)

  10. Ah! Me too! Looking forward to this one. Even though the last sequel didn't sit so well with me (I'm team John Ambrose McClaren. Sorry Peter!), I'd still love to read this one. It's Jenna Han after all. :)

    1. That's a winning idea! The ending of two was rather abrupt so it might not bother you at all if you binge-read the series. :D Thanks, Miranda!

  15. I haven't read this series but I see it everywhere and I heard it's great! I've been really into contemporary lately so I might have to go pick it up :) I'm excited that there's another book for you all to read, especially if the last ending was so abrupt!

  16. I still need to read book 2, but I'm not sure if I will. I liked the first, but didn't really loved it... or I don't remember...
I hope you do LOVE it when you get the chance to read it!

    1. I know how you feel - sometimes, it's better to immortalize the first book and be done with the series. :D Thank you, Lis!

  17. I don't think I can handle my excitement. I'm team Peter all the way (but I do love John!!) and I am almost 100% positive I'll cry. I'm glad to see that Margot is coming back. For some reason I want her with Josh, even though they have both moved on. It was so bittersweet to read about how Lara and Josh weren't good friends anymore in P.S. I Still Love You. This is going to be amazing!
