Waiting on Wednesday (#53): Take Me On by Katie McGarry

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week, I'm featuring:

Take Me On by Katie McGarry
Book Four of the Pushing the Limits series
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Publication Date: May 20, 2014

Summary (from Goodreads):

Acclaimed author Katie McGarry returns with the knockout new story of two high school seniors who are about to learn what winning really means

Champion kickboxer Haley swore she'd never set foot in the ring again after one tragic night. But then the guy she can't stop thinking about accepts a mixed martial arts fight in her honor. Suddenly, Haley has to train West Young. All attitude, West is everything Haley promised herself she'd stay away from. Yet he won't last five seconds in the ring without her help.

West is keeping a big secret from Haley. About who he really is. But helping her-fighting for her-is a shot at redemption. Especially since it's his fault his family is falling apart. He can't change the past, but maybe he can change Haley's future.

Hayley and West have agreed to keep their relationship strictly in the ring. But as an unexpected bond forms between them and attraction mocks their best intentions, they'll face their darkest fears and discover love is worth fighting for.

It's Katie McGarry.

That's reason enough :D

    1. LOL BEST REACTION EVER! But seriously though - WEST! I'm so excited! That would be cool if we could get a story for each of Rachel's brothers... that's an idea! I'll read just about anything by Katie McGarry.

  10. Something about that blank book cover gets me giggling every time I see it here, and I don't know why! I've only read Pushing the Limits, but I loved it and plan to get around to the other two books (maybe by the time this comes out!) so yay! Great pick!

And HAPPY NEW YEAR! (Though it's now officially the 2nd... I'm late. Whatever.)

    1. I disagree in that the series keeps getting better - for ME, it keeps getting worse (5 stars, 4 stars, 3 stars), but I'm hoping this book redeems the series for me. And I enjoyed all three books, so I'm very much excited for this one!
