"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
This week, I'm featuring:
Take Me On by Katie McGarry
Book Four of the Pushing the Limits series
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Publication Date: May 20, 2014
Summary (from Goodreads):
Acclaimed author Katie McGarry returns with the knockout new story of two high school seniors who are about to learn what winning really means
Champion kickboxer Haley swore she'd never set foot in the ring again after one tragic night. But then the guy she can't stop thinking about accepts a mixed martial arts fight in her honor. Suddenly, Haley has to train West Young. All attitude, West is everything Haley promised herself she'd stay away from. Yet he won't last five seconds in the ring without her help.
West is keeping a big secret from Haley. About who he really is. But helping her-fighting for her-is a shot at redemption. Especially since it's his fault his family is falling apart. He can't change the past, but maybe he can change Haley's future.
Hayley and West have agreed to keep their relationship strictly in the ring. But as an unexpected bond forms between them and attraction mocks their best intentions, they'll face their darkest fears and discover love is worth fighting for.
It's Katie McGarry.
That's reason enough :D
I've never featured a book with no cover yet, but if I did, I'd pick this too! So excited for West's story :D Plus, it sounds so amazing.
ReplyDeleteAwesome pick!
My WoW
I mean, the point of WoW posts isn't to share covers, it's to share books, covers or not.
DeleteAnyway, yay me too!
I never said we shouldn't feature books with no cover, I just said I haven't done it yet. Sorry if you misunderstood!
DeleteI really need to get back into this series. Great choice!! Thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHere is my WoW
Have a great day!! :)
I hope you do! Thank you.
DeleteNice pick! Not my kind of read but have seen a lot of this author around, so I hope you thoroughly enjoy this book once you read it!

LOL BEST REACTION EVER! But seriously though - WEST! I'm so excited! That would be cool if we could get a story for each of Rachel's brothers... that's an idea! I'll read just about anything by Katie McGarry.
DeleteThank you for the epic comment, Sam! :D
Hahah, sorry. I'm crazy *+* Ooooooo yes! Ethan would be interesting, wouldn't he ^_^ Wishing I had such an awesome brother.
DeleteAnd she has that four book series planned that is meant to be "West Side Story meets Sons of Anarchy" ayeeeeeeeeeeee more from the contemporary queen.
You're welcome. I'm stalking your blog right now, hope you don't mind :D
- Sam x
No no no I love it! Cuz I'm also crazy, so crazy + crazy = epic.
DeleteWAIT I HAD NO IDEA SHE HAS ANOTHER BOOK SERIES PLANNED O_O *rushes off to Goodreads*
Wow. I can't believe I never saw that. *adds all to TBR list*
And thank you! I don't mind at all :D *huggles*
Hahaha, right? If I see Katie's name on a book, I don't even have to read the blurb before it's in my hands! I am really excited for this one too because West has redeeming to do! :D Great pick girl!
ReplyDeleteEXACTLY! She's great. And West with his bad self... I cannot wait ^_^
DeleteI haven't even read the first yet, eek. I keep hearing so much about them that I'm kind of anxious that I won't like them. Though, I think I'll find out either way, soon, they're calling my name. Thanks for stopping by mine earlier, and Happy New Year! :)
ReplyDeleteIf it's not your thing, I understand! I honestly didn't think I would enjoy these books, but I LOVED Pushing the Limits.
DeleteThank you!
I've only read the first book in this series. I really need to catch up because this one sounds awesome.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by My WoW.
The first book was the best, in my opinion - but this fourth book could prove me wrong! I hope it does, anyway.
DeleteThanks so much for this post! This one sounds awesome...
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking out my WoW!
It does! You're welcome.
DeleteSomething about that blank book cover gets me giggling every time I see it here, and I don't know why! I've only read Pushing the Limits, but I loved it and plan to get around to the other two books (maybe by the time this comes out!) so yay! Great pick!
ReplyDeleteAnd HAPPY NEW YEAR! (Though it's now officially the 2nd... I'm late. Whatever.)
LOL okay :D Pushing the Limits was my favorite of three published so far... maybe this one will take the cake.
DeleteAnd YOU TERRIBLE PERSON D: Haha just kidding, I forgive you ;)
LOVE this pick!! I am sooo waiting for it too!! I adore this series :D Just keeps getting better!!!

I disagree in that the series keeps getting better - for ME, it keeps getting worse (5 stars, 4 stars, 3 stars), but I'm hoping this book redeems the series for me. And I enjoyed all three books, so I'm very much excited for this one!
DeleteBook FOUR? Ahh. I have yet to read book 2 (A) great pick, though :D I hope you will love it. <3
ReplyDeleteOoo, get on that, Carina! Thank you.
DeleteLove this series! I cannot wait. Great pick.
ReplyDeleteHope you and I love this one, when we get to read it!
DeleteI really need to catch up with this series, I only read Pushing the Limits. Shame on me! But still, I totaly agree with you, can't wait for Take Me On!
ReplyDeletePushing the Limits was so amazing! The next two were great, but I love Pushing the Limits the most. Still, no reason not to read the next two! And Take Me On.
DeleteThanks for sharing this marvelous post. I m very pleased to read this article.
