Feature and Follow Friday (#30)

The Feature & Follow is a creative meme that allows bloggers to get to know each other, and gain more followers! It is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.

If you would like, it would be great if you followed me via Email, Linky, Bloglovin, or Google+ (all on the right). I have no idea what's going on with GFC, so I'd prefer you follow me in a new manner. Let me know in the comments if you did, leave a link to your blog, and I will comment and follow back! I always do, I promise! Thank you so much!

Q: How do you handle a book you don’t like? Do you DNF or do you power through?

Funny, I was just talking about this one Twitter. My rule with books:

If I deem it worthy enough to START IT, it deserves the chance to be FINISHED.

I never, ever start a book and NOT finish it. DNF reviews? Do not exist with me. If I give a book one star - it's because I disliked it THAT MUCH.

I might hate a book while reading it, but if I started it, I'll finish it. Maybe not in the same sitting, in the same day, in the same week, in the same month! But I will finish it.

Q: What do you do with your books after you are done reading them?

That's easy! If it's a print book, I either

- Keep it
- Give it away on the blog/Twitter/Facebook
- Give it to a friend
- Let friends/bloggers borrow it
- Donate it to ARCycling
- Put it off for trade on YA Book Exchange

If it's a eARC or Kindle ebook, I just leave it on my Kindle.

And you all? What do you do with your books, once you read them?

Signed Books Giveaway!

Welcome to the Signed Book Hop, hosted by I Am A Reader, Not a Writer and Wholly Books!

I have not one but TWO fantastic books that are signed to give away!

Lacrimosa by Christine Fonseca
Book One of the Requiem series
Publisher: Compass Press
Publication Date: March 21, 2012

Summary (from Goodreads):

It's been three thousand years since the fall of Azzaziel and the rebirth of evil; three thousand years since the Sentinal Order, an elite group of warrior angels, returned to Celestium. Their job-rid Earth of the dark creatures, the UnHoly. And with luck, end Azza's rule. As if casting out demons isn't hard enough, five-hundred-year-old Nesy has to masquerade as a teenage girl to do it. Nesy is the best of the Sentinals. She never makes mistakes, never hesitates, never gets emotionally involved.

Until she meets Aydan. He is evil incarnate; a fallen angel that feeds off the souls of others. Everything Nesy is supposed to hate. But she can't, because he's also the love of her former life as a human girl-a life that ended too soon, tying her to emotions she was never supposed to feel.

Now Nesy must choose between doing her duty-damning Aydan to the fiery depths of hell-or saving him, and condemning herself. And her choice may cost her, and Celestium, far more than anyone realizes. How much will she sacrifice for love?

Transcend by Christine Fonseca
Publisher: Compass Press
Publication Date: September 18, 2012

Summary (from Goodreads):

All seventeen-year-old composer Ien Montgomery desires is an escape from his family's rigid expectations for his life; someone to inspire his music. When he meets a beautiful violin-prodigy, Kiera McDougal, his life music takes on new life. With her, he imagines a future outside of his parents’ control. That is, until a horrible accident tears them apart.

Sent to die in a sanatorium, Ien’s obsession for Kiera grows unbearable. Tortured by thoughts he can’t escape and the truth of his monstrous disfigurement, he flees, desperate to exact revenge on the people that ruined his life – his parents. But, vengeance is empty. Betrayed by those closest to him, Ien discovers that the price for his happiness may be his sanity.

Set amidst the landscape of New York's Gilded Age, and inspired by Phantom of the Opera, TRANSCEND exposes the fine line between love and madness.

Squee! Don't they sound terrific! Both are by Christine Fonseca, but they are entirely separate books. I have TWO signed copies of Transcend, so I am giving one away! And I have the Requiem series on my Kindle, whereas I only have Lacrimosa (Book One) in print. I'm sure one of you would love it!
