Swoon Thursday (#301): Fame, Fate, and the First Kiss by Kasie West

- From the book you’re currently reading, or one you just finished, tell us what made you SWOON. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering

- Try to make the swoon excerpt 140 characters (or less), if you are going to tweet about it. Use the hashtag #YABOUND when tweeting

This week, my swoon is from Fame, Fate, and the First Kiss by Kasie West!

There was something so comforting about that actin that I pushed my forehead against his lips again and his complied with another kiss there. Then I lifted my eyes to his. He paused, his mouth lingering near mine, his hands still holding my face. This felt real. I was done thinking, and I didn't wait for him to analyze this. Because I knew he would analyze this, and I knew he'd come to the wrong conclusion: that now might not be the right time for this. I took a breath and pressed my mouth against his.

Maybe he wouldn't have come to the wrong conclusion, because he didn't hesitate at all, he kissed me back. He kissed me like this wasn't the first time the idea had occurred to him. And for the first time that day, I was able to forget about everything but that moment - his hands, now in my hair, his mouth moving across mine, my hands, pressed against his chest, feeling his heart hammering fast. My heart sped to match the pace, taking my breath away.

I love Kasie West's books! This one is an interesting one; I typically don't like books involving actors/actresses as heroes/heroines, but I like this one so far!

  5. You are making me feel like a slacker. I am only reading December releases. Anyhow, this bit got me even more excited for this book.
