Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews, in which bloggers share the books and swag they've received in the past week!
So, what did I get in the week of Sunday, December 3rd to Saturday, December 9th?
(all links to Goodreads are provided!)
In the mail:
I read Letters to the Lost earlier this year and loved it! I got this ARC via trade (thank you, Kristen!). And I got Pacifica is from the publisher! Thank you, Tor! It is one of my most anticipated publications of 2018.
From NetGalley:
A happy coincidence! I can't wait to start this book. I've read all of Kemmerer's books but I have to say, Letters to the Lost was her best. I'm quite sure More Than We Can Tell will be just as great! Thank you, Bloomsbury. =)

What a week! I had an amazing time in Philadelphia last weekend. I got to see Kel on Sunday which was awesome. Unfortunately this week wasn't great for me (at work especially) but it ended on a positive note. We're supposed to get snow here, which is exciting but also a little annoying because I wanted to do some shopping on Saturday. But, first snow of the season!
Awesome stack of books! We're supposed to get snow as well! I don't mind it, such not during the holiday shopping season. It's a huge pain to get around. I'm glad your week ended on a positive note. Here's to a better week!
ReplyDeleteHappy reading xoxo
We got about 5 inches! Not too bad for the first snow shower. I actually went out to shop on Saturday WHILE it was snowing. :D I really needed to go though.
DeleteThank you, Helena! Same to you!
Ooh, Pacifica! That one looks really interesting and I think I marked it down to take a closer look. I'd be interested in your review! And yep, snow for us tonight, but hopefully it won't be that much because we have a lot of places to go and errands to run tomorrow too.

I'm going to try and read it soon! The publisher likes seeing reviews within two weeks of publication so unfortunately it may be a while before I actually review it. :/ But I'm excited about it!
DeleteThose Bridget Kemmerer books do look great. Glad you had a good time in Philly and that your week ended on a high note.
ReplyDeleteHer books are amazing! Thank you, Sophia. <3
DeleteI've heard a lot of good things about Letters to the Lost! I need to pick that book up soon!

DeleteOooh nice ones!! I still need to read a Kristen Simmons book! I know I have one of hers buried in the TBR pile somewhere! Lol! Hope you enjoy all the lovely new reads!
ReplyDeleteMy STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
You should try The Glass Arrow! It's my favorite of hers. Thank you, Jessica!
DeleteWas great seeing you too! I'm sorry your week didn't go well, but like you said, at least it ended on a good note. We're getting a little snow here, but it's not sticking. Hopefully it's same or better where you are so you can still go shopping!
ReplyDeleteAwww, the snow wasn't sticking?? We got about 5 inches total and it looked really nice. Sadly it's melting away. :/ Shopping went well, even though it was super snowy the whole time!
DeleteSorry you had a bad week, hope next week will be better! :)

Thanks, Stormi!
DeletePacifica looks awesome! I think I want it for the cover, and if the story is good, then bonus. :) Glad you had a good time in Philly, and yay for snow (if you get it). We had our first snow this week and everything is white (and cold- brrr)!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited about Pacifica! The cover is awesome. We got about 5 inches of snow and it was freezing cold!
DeleteI was ecstatic when I got approved for More Than We Can Tell. I cannot wait to read Rev's story!!!! Yeah, the white stuff is falling right now in NJ. I am just happy I don't have any where to go. Enjoy all your new books.
ReplyDeleteYAY! I'm glad you got approved. Happy reading, Sam!
DeleteI need to read Letters to the Lost! It sounds so fantastic and has such a stunning cover. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteYou MUST, Teresa! It was one of my favorite books of the year. Contemporary and all!
DeleteNice haul! I hope you'll enjoy all the books you got! Have a great week and happy reading!
ReplyDeleteHi Alyssa, I'm visiting from Stacking the Shelves. That's quite a list of books there! I think it's cool and classy that you thank the source of your arcs etc in the post. It's also a great idea to link to your giveaway posts...especially if you know people who like book giveaways!!! *LOL*
ReplyDeleteHere's my Stacking the Shelves for this week!

I keep hearing great things about Brigid Kemmerer's books. I think my library has Letters to the Lost so maybe I'll read it over winter break. Glad to hear you had an amazing time in Philly last weekend! I lived on the outskirts of Philly during my entire four years of college, but I never went into the city much, which I regret now that it's not as accessible. Hope this week is better than last! :)
ReplyDeleteI like the looks of Pacifica. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteNice stack of books. Enjoy and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteEee, yay for such lovely books :D So so jealous of Pacifica. <3 Cannot wait to read that gorgeous thing. I hope you will love all of these books Alyssa :) Happy reading. <3 Hugs. And hope you are doing a bit better :)
ReplyDeleteI just got More Than We Can Tell too. Hope we both love it!
ReplyDeleteSorry that you had a not so good week. You did get some great books. More Than We Can Tell seems to be really popular this week. Enjoy!
