Stacking the Shelves (#130)


Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews, in which bloggers share the books and swag they've received in the past week!


So, what did I get in the week of Sunday, June 14th to Saturday, June 20th?

In the mail:


A hardcover copy of Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine
Two signed ARCs of Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine
Tons of Rachel Caine swag!

None of these were wins! The hardcover copy is from the publisher, the two ARCs are from the author and author's assistant. Basically, the universe really, really wants me to read these books, without me even asking o_O


An ARC of Vengeance Road by Erin Bowman

LOL. I already have an ARC from HMH. Why would they send me another? Another book that the universe wants to make sure I read!


A paperback copy of Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi

A trade from Jen! I haven't read any of the books in the series (and I don't really want to, to be honest), but the series is a Pili-Pushed series, so I shall! Especially since the series has been optioned for TV series, woah.

    Ahhh Vengeance Road! They never denied or accepted me on EW, so I don't really know what to do now lol. Maybe send an email...It's quite funny that you received so many copies of Ink & Bone! It demands to be read! :D

      I hope they do something on Edelweiss for you! That way, you'll have a definitive answer. I'll definitely give away my second ARC (maybe both), fear not! And same with Ink and Bone!

    Ooo, looking forward to reading all of these (the YA ones)! And hahaha, the universe definitely does want you to read these books :P I read SHATTER ME ages ago, and I enjoyed it a lot, but I don’t know why I didn’t pick up book 2...a re-read is definitely in order before the TV show comes out! Happy reading :D

    Ink and Bone looks amazing. Sometimes that happens with books and publishers. Vengenance Road is going to be awesome.

    That's so cool that they sent you so many copies of ink and bone! I personally really, really, REALLY did not like the shatter me series. I probably wouldn't even watch the show myself..

      I'm only reading them because a friend recommends them, and I had the first two books already! I doubt I'll be watching the TV show, I don't watch TV lol

    And ugh. The shatter me series was such a drag. I'd say hope you enjoy but... Y'know.

    What great books to get duplicates of! I have a HC of Ink and Bone on the way I believe. I wish it would have been the arc though! I hope it'll be amazing. I've read VR and loved it. I hope you enjoy it too! Have a great week.

    Ooh, you have Ignite Me! Its my favorite books in the series, and I'm pretty sure you'll love it once you read it. I'm really looking forward to Dream of You, I have a feeling its going to be an amazing read.

    I absolutely love the Shatter Me series! I'm really curious about how you'll react to the books. There are so many people that LOVE them, but then there are those who absolutely can't stand it (because of the writing and romance). You'll either love it or hate it. Happy reading!

    It seems like Vengeance Road is everywhere lately, I hope is as good as all the hype indicates. I can't wait to get my hands on Ink & Bone. Have you read Rachel Caine before? I read the first seven or so of her Morganville Vampires series and they were pretty good. Happy reading!

      I hope so too - I'm honestly not a fan of Westerns, but I have mostly enjoyed Bowman's books. I've not read any of Caine's books before Ink and Bone! Probably won't change that, but I liked Ink and Bone a lot. Thank you!

    Omigosh I love the Shatter Me series and I really hope you do, too! I get why you wouldn't want to start it, I didn't either, but I ended up loving it.
    And I'm excited for Vengeance Road, hope that's a great read.
