Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews, in which bloggers share the books and swag they've received in the past week!
So, what did I get in the week of Sunday, March 29th to Saturday, April 4th?
(all links to Goodreads are provided!)
In the mail:
There's actually about six or seven boxes/packages at home... and I won't be going home this weekend (on Easter weekend, no less). But my parents are coming to the school, so they may or may not bring my massive haul. If they do, I'll post pictures on Twitter on Saturday evening or Sunday.
Edited!
Thank you, Mary! I needed this one to complete my duo set :)
Thank you, Lorelie! So nice of her to give away this one :)
Thank you, Amazon! I feel a bit bad... I binge-read the first two books a few weeks ago, and now I have the third, whereas most people had to wait years! Oh well O_O
Thank you, Penguin Random!
Thank you, Penguin Random! All three are unfamiliar (unsolicited), but that could be a good series to binge-read!
Thank you, Harper! I requested The Fill-In Boyfriend, and the requested are unsolicited. The covers are great!
Thank you, Penguin Random! Such a beautiful package. And there is a cookie!
From NetGalley:
I've not read anything by this author, but I'm excited to give this book a try!
From Edelweiss:
I LOVE THIS AUTHOR! Her Scandalous series is soooo good. I'm on the blog tour for this book, so look out for this book's review in a few weeks!
Sooo... this week was really bad. I got some disappointing news on Sunday, and then even more disappointing news (unrelated to the first set) on Tuesday... it was a snowball effect and my mental health took a nosedive. I'm better now but I wish things were different. This week was just awful. Luckily I had lovely books to occupy my mind ;) How was your week?
I got Every Last Word this week too. I hope it's as good as it sounds! I'm glad you're feeling a bit better :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jillyn!
Deletelovely haul so far, I will look forward to see you complete haul :D have a nice weekend

ReplyDeleteTime heals all wounds, I suppose. And my dad already came and dropped off the books! They're still coming tomorrow, but I think they knew I needed the pick-me-up.
DeleteThank you, Carina! I hope the same for you!
Oigh!! I'm so so so sorry about the bad news *big squishy hugs*
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll have a lovely Easter celebration with your parents even if you're going home!
*hugs* You are awesome! Thank you!
DeleteOh that sucks. Hate when bad news just keeps on piling up. It's taxing on the mental state of mind! Hope your parents remember your books, they are the essentials after all!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your new reads here and have a GREAT Easter!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!
Have a GREAT day!

ReplyDeleteThanks, Kristen. I need the hugs!
DeleteOh, no. I hope next week is better. I've heard really good things about Every Last Word, so hopefully that takes your mind off of things. If not, a little romance should.

DeleteI hope this next week goes better than this last one!
ReplyDeleteA lot of people seem to be excited for Every Last Word. I don't know if I want to read it, but reviews will probably change my mind. Happy reading!
Thank you, Kaitlin! I appreciate it! And I know what you mean. Thank you!
DeleteYAY for that Harper package! I can't wait for The Fill In Boyfriend! Nick is going to let me borrow hers :) I also got Every Last Word and am looking forward to it too. Yay for End of Days! I still need to hurry and binge read mine too! LOL. I'm sorry last week didn't go so great for you. If you ever need someone to talk to, you know I'm here. <3 I hope this week goes better!
ReplyDeleteAWESOME! I hope you enjoy it! I just read it and really, really loved it. Sooo good! And I'm crossing my fingers for a better week, thank you!
DeleteGreat haul! I can't wait for Off the Page because Between the Lines is one of my all time favorite books. I'll be looking forward to your review of it. :)
ReplyDeleteKrystianna @ Downright Dystopian
Wow! I'll have to make room for both then. I haven't read Between the Lines!
DeleteCookie! I hope that helps a bit with the disappointing news. I dislike that kind of news; it's always...disappointing. But cookies help. And silly kids movies. :)
ReplyDeleteThe cold's still messing with my head, so limited reading, but I'm finally watching some of the stuff that's been sitting on my Netflix list for years. :)
Cookies indeed... I had a lot of those this past week. I hope you get better super quickly, Kel! Enough of that sick business.
DeleteEnd of Days! So jealous!
ReplyDeleteMissie @ A Flurry of Ponderings
Aww! <3
DeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your bad week, Alyssa:-( Boo to that! I hope things get better for you soon. But your books look fabulous, and I'm drooling over Tracked, it sounds really good. Take care and do something nice for yourself:-)
ReplyDeleteYou are the sweetest, Tammy. I really appreciate this comment, it means a lot. THANK YOU!
DeleteThe Edge series sounds like it will be a good read. Happy Easter and have a great upcoming week!
ReplyDeleteIt might be! I *hope* I get the chance to read those three. Thank you, Brandi!
DeleteFirst, I am SO sorry about your bad week. I hope you are okay, and that things will get better soon. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThe books. First, I read Angelfall like, I don't know, 20 years ago it seems? So yes, I am basically drooling over your End of Days, and I want to knock on the door of Amazon and beg for one. And Every Last Word looks so good too! I hope you enjoy the new books, and I do hope this week is much, much better for you :)
Shannon @ It Starts At Midnight
Thank you, Shannon!
DeleteAnd OMG you totally should! Amazon/Skyscape is pretty cool, it cannot hurt to ask. *nudges* Have a great week!
I hope things are looking better in your life. Thank goodness for books, especially when we can't be with family and close friends. I don't think I got anything this week, but last week I got a special price on the first three Fairyland ebooks as a bundle and I have wanted to read those since I read the series prequel novella. I also recieved a giveaway prize of a Compulsion hardcover. I was a little disappointed because it was supposed to be personalized and it was just generically signed. I had had a terrible couple of weeks too, and when I opened it and saw it wasn't personalized I sobbed. Lol. I guess that just shows how into books we all get.
ReplyDeleteI actually told my mom, I read books to escape, because book characters' lives are often much better than my own! -_-
DeleteCongrats on all of the wins! And you know, I got a Compulsion copy from the author, and I thought it would be personalized too... come to think of it, I don't know if it was even signed (I thought it was supposed to be both). Oh well. It totally okay to care that much, in my opinion. Expectations are a good thing! Except when you're disappointed :/
Jealous of the first book you show, and also the new Jodi Picoult book. I hate those bad things happening. I'm kind of in a state of perpetual will something happen or not! I'd say the not knowing is horrible, but at least I still can have hope until further news. I hope this is a better week for you, enjoy all your pretty new reads!
ReplyDeleteCheck out my Sunday Post
Thank you very much, Lisa! <3
DeleteThat's a fantastic haul! I'm jealous. I am particularly looking forward to Every Last Word, Off the Page, The Fill-In Boyfriend and The Improbable Theory of Ana and Zak.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy! I'll be looking forward to your reviews.
New follower.
Tammy @ Bo's Book Nook
Thanks! I've already posted a review of The Fill-In Boyfriend. Every Last Word will be reviewed most likely at the end of May. The others you mentioned... I didn't ask for them and I won't have time to read them so I won't be reviewing them!
DeleteGoodness! That's an amazing haul Alyssa! End of Days!!!! I already pre-ordered it and I can't wait to read it :) I hope you love them all.
ReplyDeleteI hope you love it too, Liza! Thank you!
DeleteGreat haul, girl! I really enjoyed Every Last Word and The Fill In Boyfriend! And oh my gosh END OF DAYS! Nick is letting me borrow her copy, thank goodness!!! I'm so so excited.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading! <3
That's so great of her! I hope you enjoy End of Days when you read it!
