Stacking the Shelves (#194)

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews, in which bloggers share the books and swag they've received in the past week!

So, what did I get in the week of Sunday, September 4th to Saturday, September 10th?

(all links to Goodreads are provided!)

In the mail:

Unsolicited - and I don't know too much about this one! Thank you, Penguin Teen.

Another unsolicited ARC - thank you, Abrams!

I am SO excited about this book! Fantasy romance - yes please! I haven't read any of the other books in the series, but lucky for me, it's a companion series. Thank you, Berkley!

Nil tribe goodies

Ahh! This was a surprise from Lynne - thank you, Lynne! This is so wonderful and thoughtful!

From Edelweiss:

Nobody judge me... the Avon publicists sent an email with a ton of widgets, so I went a little click-happy! I love Dimon's books, I've read many of Rodale's books (including the first two in this particular series), and I've read the previous two in this Lorret series! I can't wait to read these three books.

I've read the first two books in this series, and I cannot wait to see how things wrap up.

Uni is back in full swing... guys I'm already drowning in work. And more work!

  1. I have Our Chemical Hearts and I'm so thrilled to be reading it soon. According to Nick, Aussie YA authors are fantastic so that has me even more excited.
Aww I hope you have a great semester. It will pass by very quickly, you'll see :)
Enjoy your weekend and have a nice week!

    1. I'll have to see if I get a chance to read it! I've read a number of books by Aussie authors in the past, but nothing recently.

      Thank you, Genesis!

  2. Very nice pile of books there. I've not read any or from those series, but they look like ones I would pick up.

Yikes! Hope the work settles down for you soon.

  3. Our Chemical Hearts was so good! It's a story of first love and first heartbreak. I really liked it.

  4. Oh no, don't drown! Temporarily be carried away by the current until Baywatch comes to your rescue maybe, but no drowning. ;)

I know how you feel though, and I just signed up for another pro bono project. Do you also have that odd compulsion to take on more stuff when (or because) you're overloaded?

    1. Ha! I'll be sure to do that instead. ;D

That is DEFINITELY what is happening though. I maxed out on pretty much everything... on the plus side, I'm trying to do more fun things this year (here and there, not too much), as it's my last year. On the flip side, me taking time to do fun things is already stressing me out (and I've only done two "fun things"/events). D:

  16. I can't wait to read White Spell...I just love Lynn Kurland. She was one of my first romance authors but I still need to try out her fantasy romance. Hope you enjoy it. I am nervous about Maya Rodale's book since the last one wasn't my favorite. But the cover is so pretty---I love that green.

I didn't like book two of this Rodale series, but I'm soldiering on. Wish me luck!

  21. I got the first two too, I'm glad I wasn't the only one who hadn't heard of the second book...
Blood Passage wasn't a favorite of mine but I got the third book because I still plan on finishing the series since I loved book one.
