Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews, in which bloggers share the books and swag they've received in the past week!
So, what did I get in the week of Sunday, September 21st to Saturday, September 27th?
(all links to Goodreads are provided!)
In the mail:
Both from Little, Brown UK! Interesting how a UK pub is now sending me books. I won't complain! I love Hoyt's books - I love historical romance novels in general!
Zodiac postcards
I literally JUST traded a book for an ARC of Zodiac... and then Penguin decides to surprise me with this package. I'm so not complaining though! That just means GIVEAWAY!
From NetGalley:
Funny how I always say that I'm not a fan of samplers, but now I have three samplers of various novels... haha.
From the Baltimore Book Festival:
See my recap HERE! But I went to the Baltimore Book Festival on Friday, and had a blast! I met Jennifer L. Armentrout (again), Marissa Meyer, Cheryl Klam, Diana Peterfreund (again), and many bloggers! I have a giveaway! But here are the books I came back with:
An ARC of Etherworld by Claudia Gabel and Cheryl Klam (OMG CHERYL BROUGHT THIS WITH HER SPECIFICALLY FOR ME OMG!!!)
Etherworld was the only book that I really "brought back", since it was the only one I didn't have going into the festival. Cheryl is such a sweetie, and brought the book with her, specifically for me! Thank you so much, Cheryl!!
See the full recap HERE! The Festival was sooo much fun. I won't be attending Saturday (the blogger panel and blogger dinner) or Sunday, unfortunately. But Friday was AMAZING, as it is every year!
Blast! I will not see you at the BBF then as I'm going for tomorrow, only! Bummer but I'm so glad you had fun. This is my first time going so I'm pumped for it!
ReplyDeleteAww! Another time then, Jessica! I hope you had/have fun!!
DeleteI really liked Elusion! Can't wait for Etherworld :-)
ReplyDeleteEm @ http://theyabookbutterfly.blogspot.com/
I hope you enjoy it when you read it!
DeleteIt's so absolutely amazing that the author brought an ARC of the book specifically for you!! YAY!
ReplyDeleteNot a bad bookish week this one, I'd say! Happy reading and enjoy the weekend!
I think it was a great week, honestly! Which could be both a wonderful and terrible thing, LOL!
DeleteGreat books this week! You've reminded me that I really need to read Elusion, I kept meaning to and then reading other stuff. I saw your Baltimore Festival post, it looked like a ton of fun!
ReplyDeleteUnder The Mountain
You do need to read it! And the Festival is awesome, every year ^_^
DeleteOOOoh lovely haul! Wish I was closer to Baltimore, I soooo would've went there! Hope you enjoy all your lovely new reads!
ReplyDeleteMy STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
So much fun! Although, not a lot of bookish events happen in Baltimore, honestly. This is the big one.
DeleteI'm jealous of a bunch o these! Nice haul.

Thanks!
DeleteNice haul of books. I got to see Jennifer Armentrout at CBC last week. I just love her books. Great haul.
ReplyDeleteGrace @ Books of Love
Awesome! She is fab, really.
DeleteYAY for lots of gorgeous books :D Ack. Cover for Zodiac looks gorgeous. <3 Hmph. I want that box, lol :) Happy reading Alyssa. <3 hope you will love everything :)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean! I love packages. Thank you!
DeleteI love historical romance too but have yet to read an Elizabeth Hoyt novel. I think I've heard mixed things? I love the cover and title of that one though!
ReplyDeleteHappy reading, Alyssa! <3
I love her books! I almost haven't seen mixed reviews about Hoyt's Maiden Lane series at all.
DeleteLove the smell of new books! I hope you enjoy your new babies!
ReplyDeleteCome and check out OUaT's STS and don't forget to ENTER our BOXES OF BOOKS giveaway!
Thanks!
DeleteYou should read Elusion! And thanks ^_^
ReplyDeleteI got a copy of Only Enchanting as well, but our covers are different. Hope we both love it. Happy reading Alyssa! :)
ReplyDeleteThis one is the UK version - the UK publisher has been sending me books, but I'm in the USA. Whatever, I'm not complaining! If they don't care, I don't either! Thank you, Rachel ^_^
DeleteWow the Baltimore Book festival sounds like so much fun Alyssa, you're so lucky that you were able to meet so many brilliant authors!! I hope you enjoy all your pretty books. Thanks for stopping by! :)
ReplyDeleteYES! It was awesome! You're very welcome, Jasprit :D
DeleteZodiac and Their World looks good, hope you enjoy and have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThank you! You too!
DeleteI stopped myself from requesting Ensnared since it'll just make me want to read the whole thing now, haha. This is why I stay away from samplers.
ReplyDeleteLOL yeah... That's exactly why I don't read samplers. Except now I have three. LOL
DeleteYay for that extra copy of Zodiac! That one looks amazing! Enjoy your new books. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteAwww, it looks like you had such a good time! I wish we had something like this near me! I think you secretly like samplers. :) It's so hard to start reading a book and not be able to read the whole thing, especially when it's something you want SO BADLY. Oh wellsies. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you're having a wonderful week, Alyssa!!
I secretly/not-so-secretly hate samplers... thanks, Rachel!
DeleteHaha, it's totally because publishers are sticking up samplers of the most exciting books instead of just not putting up anything for those ;-). Oo I wonder if that's what my Penguin package on Monday will contain, that would be exciting :D
ReplyDeleteThis is true ;) I hope you love it!!
