Waiting on Wednesday (#68): Stitching Snow by R.C. Lewis

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week, I'm featuring:

Stitching Snow by R.C. Lewis
Publisher: Disney-Hyperion
Publication Date: October 14, 2014

Summary (from Goodreads):

Princess Snow is missing.

Her home planet is filled with violence and corruption at the hands of King Matthias and his wife as they attempt to punish her captors. The king will stop at nothing to get his beloved daughter back—but that’s assuming she wants to return at all.

Essie has grown used to being cold. Temperatures on the planet Thanda are always sub-zero, and she fills her days with coding and repairs for the seven loyal drones that run the local mines.

When a mysterious young man named Dane crash-lands near her home, Essie agrees to help the pilot repair his ship. But soon she realizes that Dane’s arrival was far from accidental, and she’s pulled into the heart of a war she’s risked everything to avoid. With the galaxy’s future—and her own—in jeopardy, Essie must choose who to trust in a fiery fight for survival.

For the most part, I LOVE Disney-Hyperion's books. And I'm all about debut authors! And finally - FANTASY! I love fantasy.

  2. I've been craving good fantasy lately (ever since I read Throne of Glass in March, actually), so I'm definitely going to keep my eye on this one. I don't believe I read Disney-Hyperion's books very often . . . I'll have to change that sometime. Great pick! I hope you'll end up enjoying this one when you read it.

  8. I'm guessing Essie is Princess Snow. Sounds a bit like the concept in Cinder, but nevertheless this looks great. I also really like that cover. It's pretty unique-looking. :)

  10. I added this to my TBR list just a few days ago. I love a good fantasy and this sounds pretty cool. I haven't read much from Disney-Hyperion, who I know are a great publishing company in the US, but they do not exist in the UK and the books that they print are usually not available. LIKE ALIENATED! I am still waiting to read that gorgeous thing. ANYWAYYYY, I hope this meets your expectations and that you love it v v v v much.
