Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews, in which bloggers share the books and swag they've received in the past week!
So, what did I get in the week of Sunday, March 2nd to Saturday, March 8th?
(all links to Goodreads are provided!)
In the mail:
Thank you SO MUCH, Jen! You spoil me ;) I read and loved the first book, but I have not read this one.
From NetGalley:
SOOOO excited to read this book! I feel like I've been waiting for it for quite some time. I even had it as a WoW choice!
I decided to download this one on a whim - it's one of those "tough-issues" books, and it sounds really good.
One more week, and then I have my spring break! I'm not going anywhere or doing anything awesome, but the "break" part of spring break is all I need :)
Both these book look awesome.
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring Break. Hope you get lots of time to read.
My STS @ Marilyn's Mystery Blog
Thank you so much, Marilyn!
DeleteI have not read these, but they do look awesome :D I like the Alice cover. <3 Hope you enjoy everything sweetie :) Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that I got them, then! Thank you, Carina ^_^
DeleteOoh nice! Those are entirely new to me! Hope you enjoy them both!
ReplyDeleteMy STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I hope you so too! Thank you, Jessica.
DeleteNice haul. Did they change the cover of The Truth about Alice or is that just a cover for another country? Enjoy your books. My STS: http://www.thecovercontessa.com/2014/03/stacking-shelves-10.html
ReplyDeleteI'm in the USA, so I believe it is the USA cover. I wouldn't know about a cover change though. Thanks!
DeleteI have been seeing the Truth About Alice a lot. I guess that is a sign I should check it out! Hope you enjoy your books!

I hope you do! And me too!

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my WoW @ Addicted Readers! :)
Happy Reading and have a great weekend! :)
Binge-read the series, that's smart! And I really hope I love Take Back the Skies as well. Thank you!
DeleteI am so ready to read The Truth About Alice; that one looks so unbelievably good and I love the idea of all the tough issues that's going to be covered in it :) Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteSomehow, I had a feeling that you would be excited to read it! I hope it's as good as we hope it to be. Thank you, Eileen!
DeleteDays of Blood and Starlight was so good. I love that Laini Taylor series to pieces. Awesome haul of books. Thanks for stopping by earlier.

Nice haul! I have The Truth About Alice on my stack too. I hope you have a great Spring Break. Come see what I added to my stacks at Inside of a Dog and Ms. Martin Teaches Media. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Kathy! It'll be pretty relaxing :D
DeleteI saw Take Back the Skies on Netgalley this week and thought about requesting it. Great haul!

Leydy from OUAT & RCE
I highly recommend Taylor's books!
DeleteYAY Spring Break! :D Mine isn't until the first week in April, so I have a few weeks to go. I'm oddly ok with that though. LOL. Maybe it'll give it a chance to really warm up! Yay for DoBaS! I've got to start that series at some point! Take Back the Skies looks really cool too! Definitely let me know how you like it! Happy reading girl and enjoy that much needed break!
ReplyDeleteYikes, that's so far away! But that is SO TRUE. Enjoy your spring break! Laini Taylor's books are so great! And I will have reviews for all of them... soon, I hope. Thank you so much, Jess!
DeleteI also requested Take Back Skies and Alice, hope we both love them
ReplyDeleteYes! I hope so as well.
DeleteJust hang on a little longer and then you get your well deserved break! And enjoy the book haul! It looks like you got some great ones. :)
ReplyDelete*hangs on* *tightens grip* lol
DeleteThank you so much for the positive thoughts, Kel! I definitely need them. And I hope to do lots of reading over the break :D
I love the title of Take Back the Skies! Hope it's fantastic. The Truth About Alice definitely sounds like an emotional read. Yay for spring break, that means more time for reading right? ;)
ReplyDeleteHere's my haul.
Me too! It sounds pretty great too. And I am ready for another emotional read, I think! AND DEFINITELY MORE TIME TO READ, CYN! ^_^
DeleteYay for Days of Blood and Starlight. I love Laini Taylor so much. I can't wait for the next book, sigh. I've not heard of Take Back the Skies. I'll be looking that one up. Great haul! I hope you have a good week and not too much longer until Spring Break.
ReplyDeleteI hope you love the last book! And if you decide to read Take Back the Skies, I hope you enjoy it! Thank you so much, Kristen <3
DeleteAh! I still haven't read Days of Blood and Starlight! Gah. And I still can't decide whether or not I want to read The Truth About Alice. You should read and review it so I can know. :D Take Back the Skies looks interesting, and I just read on Goodreads that she wrote it when she was 16 and sold it at 17! Some people make me feel really bad about my choices in life.
ReplyDeleteBut yay for spring break! I don't think I've done anything exciting in any of my college years for spring break but it's always the best rest in the middle of the semester. Two more weeks of classes, and then mine! Enjoy your week of class and then enjoy your break!!!!! :D
I haven't either, if that makes you feel better. And I'll probably review ALICE next month, so if you can wait that long... ;) And YES, Lucy is very young! My age, or a few months older.
DeleteI'm not doing anything exciting, and I am perfectly okay with that. TWO MORE WEEKS FOR YOU?! HOLD ON, LADY! I hope you enjoy yours as well! I'll be back in school when you get your break. Fun times, eh? ^_^
The Days of Blood and Starlight is so crazy! A lot goes on. I hope you enjoy all your books and thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteCRAZY. This is good. I hope the third book is fabulous! Thank YOU :)
DeleteI still need to read The Daughter of Smoke and Bone, but I've heard awesome things. The Truth About Alice looks intense, but good. Yay for Spring Break being around the corner. I don't get one this year, but I remember how awesome the feeling was. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a great series! From what I've read. WAIT WHAT DO YOU MEAN, YOU DON'T GET A SPRING BREAK D: Wait did you graduate? Sadness. Working full-time is scary :o
DeleteNice haul. I love the look of The Truth About Alice and can't wait to read that one myself. I hope you enjoy your books :) My STS.
ReplyDeleteI hope you read and enjoy it!
DeleteTake Back the Skies is new to me! And YAY for the Truth About Alice :)
ReplyDeleteHave a good week
I'm glad to have gotten it then! Thank you, Tonya.
