Swoon Thursday is a hot meme hosted by the fabulous ladies at YA Bound!
- From the book you’re currently reading, or one you just finished, tell us what made you SWOON. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering
- Try to make the swoon excerpt 140 characters (or less), if you are going to tweet about it. Use the hashtag #YABOUND when tweeting
This week, my swoon is from Death Sworn by Leah Cypess!
(Today's excerpt is very short! I know, atypical of me. I like to mix things up.)
"I'm sorry," she whispered. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you -"
His hand touched her cheek, a faint nudge. That was all the encouragement she needed to lift her face so his mouth could land on hers. She clung to him desperately, trying to find what she always found in his kisses: forgetfulness.

Naomi @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace
It is! And I love the cover.
DeleteAnd by the way, we totally just left comments on each other's blogs at the same (or thereabout). Rad!
I agree with Naomi. That's a sweet tease. Glad you enjoyed the book.
ReplyDeleteMy Swoon @ Marilyn's Mystery Blog
It might be a short swoon but it sure is sweet! The small tender moments can sometimes show more emotion than anything else. And Naomi's right the cover is gorgeous, I think it's that aqua colour in the middle!
ReplyDeleteI do love the tender moments! And yes, the cover is awesome :D
DeleteThat's kind of sweet. I like it and Leah Cypress is an amazing author so I definitely need to check him out. Thank you for sharing and stopping by! Did you know there are more books in the One Week Girlfriend series?
ReplyDeleteI agree! You should definitely look up this series. And I did know! I have not read them - probably because secretly, I don't want the rest of the series to ruin the first book for me (I don't know what the next books are like, but I LOVE book one, and don't want it to be ruined in any way lol).
DeleteI think I just read a review for this book that was positive, and it may have been yours actually! But I really would like to read more fantasy and I like the quote!
ReplyDeleteI think it was, because you commented on it! I'm glad you're interested, Eileen!
DeleteWhat didn't she tell him? What does she want to forget?
ReplyDeleteSweet swoon! I actually like short ones. :)
Haha that would be revealing too much! And I agree - the short ones are sometimes better!
DeleteOh, Hello Swoon!!! Going to need to check this book out on Goodreads :)
