Stacking the Shelves (#54)

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews, in which bloggers share the books and swag they've received in the past week!

So, what did I get in the week of Sunday, December 29th to Saturday, January 4th?

(all links to Goodreads are provided!)

In the mail:

Ooo, what's in the box? :D

A hardcover copy of Classical Mythology by Nancy Conner
Two other things that I didn't feature in this picture because they are how-to kits...

Yes, this girl is an engineering major. But this girl loves the classics. I have this idea that has been swirling in my head for over a year, set in Ancient Greece, and heavily involving Greek mythology. That explains the first two books. I feel like EVERYONE should have a copy of Grimm's Fairy Tales. That explains that. The two how-to kits that I didn't feature are for me to challenge myself to learn things.

Barnes & Noble had a SALE, people. Go look, if you haven't yet!

From NetGalley:

Soooo excited to read this sequel! SQUEE!

And that was my week. I'm going back to school on Sunday, for three weeks of winter classes. Joy!

  2. OOoh very nice!! I LOVE Greek mythology myself! A good Greek mythology book is called Mythology by Edith Hamilton! I read it a few years ago, before blogging, and it was a very nice one! And Grimm! Oh how I LOVE Grimm! I got one of the complete collections myself back in the days of Borders & Waldenbooks! Hope you enjoy all your new reads!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!

    Have a GREAT day!

  30. Aren't sales the best? I had to resist buying things or I would be more poor than I normally am. :) YOU ARE RIGHT that everyone needs Grimm's fairy tales! I got a copy recently, and I love it. So fun to pick up and read a story or two every so often. Plus the originals are just so cool.

And yay for school? I start back tomorrow, so booooooooo. :)

    1. Sales are the worst/best... I need to stop LOL. The originals are cool! It's interesting to see how twisted people make the stories. The originals seem wacky.
