Happy Tuesday! Today I've decided to participate in Top Ten Tuesday, formerly hosted by Jamie at The Broke and the Bookish, now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
Today's topic is:
Villains
This is a list of well-written villains - not necessarily villainous people that I liked. I simply admire how much depth the villains had. Check it out!
1. The Darkling (from the Grishaverse trilogy)
2. The Commandant (from An Ember in the Ashes quartet)
3. Leck (from Graceling)
4. Dorwan (from Brightly Woven)
5. LeBlanc (from Rook by Sharon Cameron)
6. Lonnrach (from The Vanishing Throne)
7. Minya (from Strange the Dreamer)
8. The Herja (from Sky in the Deep)
(A collective villain)
9. Olivia (from Avenged)
10. The Sultan (from Rebel of the Sands)
I'm all for a well-developed villain, too. Love to hate ones are great.
ReplyDeleteOoh nice picks! I have two of these on my list as well! Seeing a lot of one of them too!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I do love a well written villain. I really need to read Strange the Dreamer soon.

The Darkling is my favorite. Obviously. :)
ReplyDeleteI forgot about Leck - hated! And Olivia was so off her rocker!
ReplyDeleteMinya, the Commandant, and Darkling made mine. I didn't even think of the Sultan though he is a great one.
ReplyDeleteAhhh! All the villains! Gosh. Leck from the Graceling books was the worst villain in the world! He was TONS worse in Bitterblue, though he was dead. Ahhh. Have you read it yet? Hmm? Haha :D YOU MUST. And ahh. The Darkling. I hated him beyond words. And I still get so full of rage everytime I see people love him, hahahaha :D
