Top Ten Tuesday (20)

Happy Tuesday! Today I've decided to participate in Top Ten Tuesday, formerly hosted by Jamie at The Broke and the Bookish, now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.

Today's topic is:

Popular Books that Lived Up to the Hype

Hype is of course very subjective, but all of these books were very hyped up before publication and even after publication! And I loved them all. I could have easily listed more than ten but ten is good enough! =)

  1. What an amazing list! I've been wanting to read Heartless ever since the day it came out and just haven't gotten around to it. The Cruel Prince was an amazing book and I'm so glad I read it. Thanks for sharing these awesome books!

  2. I definitely agree with The Wrath & The Dawn (but why haven't I read the sequel yet *sobs*), The Night Circus, Caraval, The Cruel Prince and Six of Crows. I haven't read the other books yet but I won a couple of them.

  3. Nice! Loved TW&TD, Six of Crows, The Cruel Prince, Heartless, The Winner's Curse and Caraval! Why I forgot to include The Cruel Prince I don't know! Guess I didn't think of it as hyped? Or it could be that I was ignoring the early reviews so I could go in uninfluenced? Lol! Great picks!

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  5. I would have to say that the Throne of Glass series is one series that was hyped to the max- while I know some people may argue with me- I do think most of the books live up to the hype. The Illuminae Files is another series that lived up to the hype. I want to read The Cruel Prince but there is something that is holding me back... hmmm i am still undecided at this point LOL.

  6. Nice list! I don't know if I could write one myself, because by the time I read books the hype has died down and the tide starts to turn and I find a lot of "I know everyone loves this but" posts so the opinion isn't so overwhelmingly positive.
But I agree that Six of Crows and The Cruel Prince lived up to the raves

  7. I'm really only interested in Heartless, which I own, and I hope to read soon. I'm excited about that because I love the author. :)
