Top Ten Tuesday (14)

Happy Tuesday! Today I've decided to participate in Top Ten Tuesday, formerly hosted by Jamie at The Broke and the Bookish, now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.

Today's topic is:

Books I Probably Should Have DNF'd

(Yes, this isn't technically the topic, but I have a strict no-DNFing policy. So this my variation of today's topic!)

Young Adult:

Warrior Witch (The Malediction Trilogy, #3)  Weather Witch (Weather Witch, #1)  Tiger's Curse (The Tiger Saga, #1)
Nightshade (Nightshade #1; Nightshade World #4)  The Queen's Choice (Heirs of Chrior, #1)  The Infinite Moment of Us
The Truth About You and Me  Falling into Place  Lailah (The Styclar Saga, #1)

Adult:

Insatiable (Insatiable, #1)  Tempting the New Boss (Sleeping with the Enemy)  Exiled (Madame X, #3)
No Attachments (Woodfalls Girls, #1)  The Seduction of Lady Phoebe (The Marriage Game, #1)
The Secret Life of Miss Anna Marsh (The Marriage Game, #2)  The Ruin of a Rogue (The Wild Quartet, #2)  When the Rogue Returns (The Duke's Men, #2)
Brown-Eyed Girl (Travis Family, #4)  True (True Believers, #1)  Always

Honestly I could probably keep going and this post would be a mile long. I like to finish what I start, but it's a shame when I start reading the book and already know it's going to be terrible. But that's okay! I try to give every book I pick up a fair chance. You never know when you might find a treasure. =)

  1. Tough topic, but not ever book is for every person. I've DNF'd or set aside for later when I'm in a different mood for a couple years now. Thankfully, it has been a very small number this year.

  2. I have not read any of these, but I own three. Hmmm, maybe there is a good reason I have yet to pick them up, though, my daughter loved the Amy Zhang book.

  3. I read a few of these. I probably should've DNF'd Weather Witch too but I was such a fan of the author I couldn't bring myself to do it. Probably not the best policy ever.

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  4. I haven't read any of these. I don't mind DNFing, but I don't do it too often. Sometimes books DO get better.

  5. I agree, sometimes I hate a book in the beginning, but it takes a major turn halfway through. I don't have a strict rule about DNF, but its very hard for me (the guilt!)

  7. Don’t have your will power to finish a book I am hating! I did do mine one ones I wish I would have DNFed but I don’t mind DNFing.

  8. I used to painstakingly read every single book even if I hated it but these days I DNF a book faster because I don't want to waste my time on books that suck. lol

  9. Oh my god, True by Erin McCarthy. Y I K E S. It's been ages since I read it -- I can barely even remember what it was about -- but I still remember it being a hot mess that wasn't actually hot at all. LOL.

  10. I was planning on doing this post but completely forgot! I normally don't DNF either! I also wish that I would have DNF'd The Tiger's Curse and that whole series. Houck just released another book in the series, and I'm so over it. I also read True. I liked it at the time, but didn't get much out of it in the long run, and don't remember the plot that much. XD

  11. I used to never DNF books, but recently I've been doing it more and more. I couldn't get through Tiger's Curse. The premise sounded so interesting, but the book moved too slowly for my liking.

  12. I felt the same way about Insatiable, but then I was like should I finish the series because I started it.
