Happy Friday, bibliovores! Today is another day in which I didn't feel like writing/posting a review, but did feel like posting something... so I'm doing another favorites post! You can check out my other favorites posts in a previous posts (for example).
Here are some of my favorite adult romance standalone novels! It's actually amazing how few true standalones there are, in adult romance. Check it out!
This list was really hard to make, because most adult romance novels are part of a series, somehow! Whether a continuous series (like the Kingmaker Chronicles) or a companion series (like the O'Malleys series). This list is exclusively standalones (no sequels or companions). I personally love standalones and wish they were more frequent in adult romance!
I can see why this list would've been hard to make. I can only think of one book that's a true standalone, without consulting Goodreads. I haven't read any of these books so I got a lot to check out!
ReplyDeleteI never thought about it, but you're right. Harder to fine adult standalones. KA Tucker has written a few romantic suspenses and a contemporary romance recently. But yes, big name publishers rarely publish standalone romance.
ReplyDeleteIt's frustrating that so many books are part of a series, but if they can stand alone, I am okay with it. All too often, I am off on something else and never finish a series.

So with you on Till Death! Loved that book. And I completely forgot about Degrees of Wrong, I bought that one years ago! Great post!
ReplyDeleteI still have yet to read a Jennifer L. Armentrout book, but they sound amazing. The rest of this list looks great as well. Thanks for sharing. I'll keep some of the books in mind to read in the future.
ReplyDeleteYour favorites posts are always so awesome. <3 Hugs. And ohh, standalone romance books. I have not read any of them, sigh, but they do look pretty amazing ;) Also! Done commenting for tonight. <3 More tomorrow, ack. I did make it over half a month on your blog though, haha :D
