Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews, in which bloggers share the books and swag they've received in the past week!
So, what did I get in the week of Sunday, November 5th to Saturday, November 11th?
(all links to Goodreads are provided!)
In the mail:
A bunch of Harper Winter '18 arcs, including Inkmistress, The Traitor Prince, Winter Glass, Hamilton and Peggy, All Out, Zenith, Heart of Iron, Everless, Love, Life, and the List, and The Queen's Rising.
Phew! That was a lot. Some of these are new to me, and some of them I have been dying to read. I'm hoping to review at least half of these (just being realistic) so stay tuned!
Thank you, Becky! I'm so excited to read The Defiant. The Midnight Star is for my collection!
Thank you, Harper Perennial, Avon, Harper Design, and Berkley! All finished review copies which is cool. The Faerie Handbook is simply gorgeous!
Super neat swag, including a tote bag, water bottle, and pencil
Ah! Huge thanks to Disney and BHM for the goodies. This was a lovely surprise!
My preorders! They're finally here. I still need to read Noah Shaw but I loved The Knowing!

Life has been pretty good this week! It was really cold towards the end of the week, but I actually don't mind it. I have a new coat that I've finally gotten the chance to wear. :D On Friday at work, we had a chili & dessert bake-off. I made a chocolate cappuccino cheesecake. I won second place in "Best Overall" and first place in "Most Creative Name/Sign"! I called it "Chococcino". It was quite tasty (in my opinion).
Alsooooooo, if anyone wants to follow my #ManBunGuy story... there have been two "installments" so far. :D

Now that that’s a thing, I’m going to tell you all a story.
Part two:

I've heard great things about Everless! It wasn't high on my Winter priority list but I may give it a whirl. I need to read Noah Shaw, which I think I will be doing this week. Good on you for getting a review out without spoiling! ^_^

Thank you!!! A friend came up with some suggestions, and that was one of them. I was like, THAT'S THE ONE!
DeleteWow, I'm shocked I've not heard of most of these, because usually there are at least a bunch of YA titles I am aware of! Looks like I need to add a bunch of these to my watch list! :D
ReplyDelete~Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum
Ahhhh! Some of them look REALLY good. I'm excited for The Queen's Rising especially. I'll be reviewing throughout the year and next year, so we'll see how they go!
DeleteOmg I am so invested in this Man Bun Guy now! This is literally what the romantic in me hopes for. It literally sounds like this came from a book! Good luck on Monday. :) Also...man bun? *sigh* I love man buns and none of my friends understand!
ReplyDeleteYAAAAASSSS! I'm glad to hear it! I am a hopeless romantic myself, and honestly this has been a dreamy experience so far. My actual dream is to meet my future husband on the metro and have this metro-based romance. SO. :D :D :D :D
DeleteI love man buns! Is that weird! The hairstyle TOTALLY works for this guy. I SO want to touch his hair!
Oh man, you mailbox is always exploding with awesomeosity :) I have to say, I am jealous, if only in a very positive way :)
ReplyDeleteYour grabs look good. The Queen's Rising looks particularly interesting! And that Faerie tote :) and woah, do you actually have hair that long? Absolutely beatiful! Mine doesn't go past my shoulderblades, like, at all :p
Seriously! This coming week, I probably won't get anything!
DeleteMy hair is indeed that long! Sometimes it can be a serious mess. Most people remember years later even if they only saw me once, because of my hair!
Enjoy all the new goodies.

I still need to read my copy of The Knowing, October kind of got away from me. Oops!
ReplyDeleteThat cheesecake sounds heavenly! I'm not that great in the kitchen (although I've never really tried), so I would freak out if my job did this! Haha.
GET ON THAT! The book was so good.
DeleteI love baking! Cooking... eh. I can get around the kitchen (in terms of cooking) but I much prefer baking. I was soooooo not about to cook chili. But I slayed in terms of the bake-off!
