Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews, in which bloggers share the books and swag they've received in the past week!
So, what did I get in the week of Sunday, October 8th to Saturday, October 14th?
(all links to Goodreads are provided!)
In the mail:
I'm going to need to double-check, but I don't think I received anything bookish in the mail this week! A bummer! Probably a blessing in disguise though.
From NetGalley:
Thank you, Forever! I can't believe this series is coming to an end. I love it so much!
From Edelweiss:
Thank you, Avon! I loved the previous books in this series. Holiday novella for the win!

My work week was really busy and I worked a lot of overtime this week. I like being busy but I feel like I'm always tired. On the reading side of things, I'm hoping to drag myself out of my YA reading slump! I've never really been in a reading slump so I'm a little baffled. Hence why I've been reading a lot more adult romance than usual - it's all I seem to be able to read! But it's okay. I'm looking forward to a new week!
Ohhh, the one from Elizabeth Hoyt looks so good. Hope you'll enjoy your new books Alyssa :)
ReplyDeleteVanessa @ Blushing Geek
It's the final addition to the series, which is sad! I'm excited to read it though. Thank you, Vanessa!
DeleteOOh nice new reads! Those are totally new to me ones! It's good that the TBR pile didn't suffer this week. From the looks of my own haul so far, I only added keeper copies plus one other short read! So it's a win! Lol. Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteMy STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I'm glad for only a few books! Theoretically this will give me a little room to catch up. :D Thank you, Jessica!
DeleteAwesome haul of books. I hope you love all of your new goodies. Sometimes reading Adult is good.
ReplyDeleteGrace @ Books of Love
Adult romances are the best!
DeleteHope this week slows down for you. I've been reading more adult lately, too, mysteries mostly. This year's YA just hasn't been doing it for me with very few exceptions. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteMysteries, now that is a genre I need to get more into. YA has been okay but not YAAASSS, so I feel ya. Thank you, Nat!
DeleteI've been seeing My New Crush Gave to Me around as of late and it looks cute. Hope you enjoy all your goodies.
ReplyDeleteIt was so good, Eve! Thank you. =)
DeleteI'm tempted to try Elizabeth Hoyt sometime; I'm always seeing her books around. Hope you enjoy these new ones!
ReplyDeleteMy STS.
Her Maiden Lane series is AMAZING! You should try that series if you get the chance. Thank you, Nikki!
DeleteThe Maiden Lane series is coming to an end? I need to read this series soon!
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Stacking the Shelves!
Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog
Yes! Duke of Desire is the final full-length novel (and this novella is the last novella/addition to the series). You should binge-read the series, Ronyell!
DeleteI can't wait to hear your thoughts on Once Upon a Maiden Lane! :)
ReplyDeleteI'll be reading it in a few weeks! It sounds wonderful. ^_^
DeleteWorking overtime always gets me. I just can't wait for the weekend, but then I am almost to tired to enjoy it. The Negotiator looks good! I hope you get out of your YA Reading Slump! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteIt definitely has made me appreciate weekends even more!
DeleteThank you, Kristyn. <3
You'll break your slump soon. Looks like you got some good books to help.
ReplyDeleteThe Negotiator looks good. I'll have to try that author. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI'm liking the cover for My New Crush Gave to Me. Makes me want to buy an ugly Christmas sweater ;-) for the upcoming xmas season. Happy reading.
ReplyDeleteHope the slump goes soon! I think Forest of a Thousand LAnterns looks really good.
ReplyDeleteSo many amazing books! Great haul! But my eyes are on the Maiden Lane novella! I love that series I need to complete it! I am book 5 so behind!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my STS
Wow, I haven't read any romance in a loooong time, all these and their authors are new to me. I am looking forward to starting my audiobook of Forest of a Thousand Lanterns though!
ReplyDelete~Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum
Oh, Negotiator looks awesome! I hope you'll enjoy it and the other books. Happy reading and have a wonderful week. 😁❤️
ReplyDeleteThat Christmassy knitted cover is gorgeous :) I've also worked a lot of overtime this week! I hope you make it out of your slump safely next week :) have a good one!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these. Hope you enjoy your books! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to trying out The Negotiator as well since I want to read this author since I keep hearing great things.
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling you Alyssa, I've been feeling absolutely shattered this week, that I don't feel like I have time for anything! I haven't read any YA books for a while either, like you the adult books seem to be working really well for me, hopefully we'll find something to get us out our funks! I hope you have a great week! :)
ReplyDeleteHope you jump out of your slump soon...but if not it looks like you have some great books to get your mind off of it! Thanks for visiting my STS!
ReplyDeleteMy New Crush Gave to Me looks cute. I hope you enjoy the 2 books you got for review!
ReplyDeleteHaven't read an adult novel in a while! I really hope you get out of that slump soon because for me, they're the worst. Especially when I desperately want to read something but, for some reason, I can't. Hope you enjoy all your new books and have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteElena @ Book Lady's Reviews
Ohhhh The Negotiator sounds and looks so good. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteOh no I'm so sorry you're in a slump! That's the worst :(
ReplyDeleteSorry work's been so busy, too. Hope things get calmer and you get some rest soon.
Have a lovely week, Alyssa!
Amy @ A Magical World Of Words
At least your reading slump isn't for ALL books; it's always nice when you can at least enjoy something. I hope you get out of your YA reading slump soon though. :)

I completely relate to your romance versus YA struggle! Right now, I'm in the same boat - the last few YA reads I've read have left something to be desired so it's been primarily all romance for me for the last week or so. Also I'm sorry to hear you've been so tired - hopefully this week will be less busy/stressful. I'm super curious about the holiday novella. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it. Have a great week, Alyssa! :)
ReplyDeleteAck, I'm sorry you have been working so much and are always tired :\ I don't work, but I'm also tired all the time, and it sucks. Ugh. I hope it will get better for you :) Hugs. And ahh, no mail is THE WORST; haha :) But yay for eARCs. <3 Happy reading Alyssa :) And I hope you are having the best weekend.
