LOL, YA...*crosses fingers that you'll get one*

LOL, YAY! And I didn't put an entire ranting paragraph about Falco in this review because I totally covered that in Venom's review. And actually, THANK YOU for telling me that! I was hoping she'd continue to show more intelligence in regards to him, so I'm glad to see that's the case.

And yes, let's be friends! The more reviews of this (and Venom) I'm seeing, the more I feel like you and I may indeed be the only people who don't love Falco! I'm posting my review of Belladonna on Thursday, and I have a whole giant ranting paragraph about him, haha. :)Merinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10928106807505590721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3634501776293792112.post-56870705634067998932013-07-09T22:56:58.174-04:002013-07-09T22:56:58.174-04:00I hope you enjoy it! I thought Cass's switch toward Luca in this book was somewhat surprising and somewhat needed. And now I'm not so sure she'll end up with Falco, but why is the book called Starling then? But Luca is just so freaking sweet! How could you say no to him?? Can't wait to read this one! And yes the dialogue wasn't authentic, but honestly for me if it was I probably wouldn't have read it. Reading it like they actually talked in Renaissance Italy would have been PAINFUL. Haha! Again, great review! Happy reading!! I mean, he acts like he adores her, but truthfully, I think he likes the idea of her, and she likes the idea of him. In Starling, you'll see that she sort of has an epiphany about that.

Yes, I've read Starling, and no, that's not a spoiler. But I totally agree with you on your estimation of Falco. JUST SAY NO. To me, Luca just treats her with so much more respect and seems to value her opinion a lot more than Falco. Falco is very much a "my way or the highway" type of guy, and turns into a ranting, angry, mean man when he's contradicted. There's just no way I could ever get behind that!

~Merin @ Read and Reviewed~Merinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10928106807505590721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3634501776293792112.post-18555652339029024332013-07-09T10:54:36.439-04:002013-07-09T10:54:36.439-04:00YAY! *cheers* I'm sort of happy to hear that. ...YAY! *cheers* I'm sort of happy to hear that. I literally could not stand him in this book, particularly what came out of his mouth during his argument with Cass in the hallway. Its nice that both boys fill a different role.

Sounds like the sequel was better than the first book for you. I like to have historical fictions where the characters speak from their time too. Rachel https://www.blogger.com/profile/05123061163236150743noreply@blogger.com
